Bachelorette party problem

Bachelorette party problem

I have one bridesmaid that I guess is a junior bridesmaid. She's 16, but I consider her a full bridesmaid and I want her there for my bachelorette party. Her mom is very liberal and I'm sure won't mind her joining us. I want my bachelorette party to be a night on the town, but I don't know if any place will let her in. Are there any places that would let a 16 year old in but not drink? Is there any way around this? Thanks!

I have a similar problem, two out of my four bridesmaids are 16 and 14 (my step-sisters)

ETA: I know that's not advice!!!

Re: Bachelorette party problem

My sisters were 11 and 12 at my bach. party. I wanted to include them, so we all went out to dinner first. I also invited my cousin who is their age to go out with us. After dinner, my sisters and my cousin went home with my mom, and we went out. They were happy to be included. Goodl luck. 16 is kind of young. My brother is 16 and was in our wedding party. The guys went out to dinner, then went back to a friends house for a couple of hours to wait for the limo (it came really late) My brother, my dad and my uncle also went out to dinner and back to the house. They had a blast. They all wanted my brother to go out with them, but he went to a party instead. I think this was a good idea because I didnt want him to be embarassed by being turned away from a bar (even though he looks older than me ) Good luck!

I was underage when I was my sister's MOH (which was about 10 years ago) but bars in Huntington let us in and I didn't drink.

Did you tell the bar that it was a bachelorette party? I would like her to come with us. I don't want to leave her out by having her come with us to dinner and then having her go home.

you could try going to a restaurant bar - having a late dinner and staying after - don't have to get passed a door person and they will see that they are getting lots of money from others buying the girls of age drinks at the bachlorette party

What about a bar/music club in the Bleeker area? My brother is a musician who often plays at The Bitter End and they allow some of my younger cousins in (15-16). They obviously just don't get a bracelet to drink.

Where is that in relation to Queens? I'm not originally from NY, so I don't know the area all that well.

Some suggestions, there a place in the village called Cafe Wha? which I don't think has an age limit.

Comedy clubs don't have age limits.

Many lounges don't usually card.

I have a young BM too, she'll turn 15 a week before the wedding and I def want to include her in all the festivities. I also have a jrBM who will be 9, I'd like to include her but I'm not sure if she'd want to go. I'm prob going to end up doing dinner at an Applebee's type place where we can all eat and us older girls can drink. Find a place that's open late and then you can stay there all night!!

Re: Bachelorette party problem

Yeah, but I want to have one of those crazy bachelorette parties with strippers! hahaha! I know that she's not an innocent 16 year old. She probably knows more about sex than I do So I think she'd really like to come. I know my FH will probably have a bachelorette party in Canada because his brother (BM) will be 19 by then. My 16 year old bridesmaid said to me the other day that we have to have a way better party than the guys if we're staying in NY. So I know she's excited to go. I think she may get more leeway since she's a girl and they do tend to let underage girls in. She looks a lot older than 16. My only concern is that I don't want to have to search around for places to let her in. I want to start at a place that is a sure thing. You know what I mean?

Do Hunkamania or those type of places have a hard age limit?

When I was underage I used to do this to go to happy hour at the 56 with my work friends (they were older), I'd go thru the restuarant area, and then use the bathroom, and then I was in....
I don't know your cousin, but I remember when I was her age, check with her. See if she has a fake ID, or a chalked ID, or if she and her friends have gotten into any bars.
I know that the bouncers at the crazy donkey let a few underagers during my friends bachlorette party-they knew they were with the bridal party, they knew the id's were fake, and they pretty much told us not to let the kids get out of hand, they were doing us a favor.
When all else fails, slip the bouncer a $50.

I think they don't have an age limit to be let in, just an age limit to drink. Call them up and ask if it's 21 to drink, but 18 to party. I know she's only 16, but she most likely won't have to show id to just get in.

Of you could have a stripper come to a hotel room, and then hit the bars.

Always call. But the thing you can try is say she is the Designated driver. Many bars will let them in for that. Some places will even give free soda to a DD.

Re: Bachelorette party problem

Can you have a 'party' at someone's home? for my one of my friends her 2 sisters were 15 & 17 so we started the party at a house, with drinks, food, and strippers, then the limo came to take us to clubs in the city.

The younger girls still felt like they were part of the evening. Also having a party at the house made it possible for everyone to participate, those with no $, pregnant cousin that couldn't go to clubs, etc.
