Bachelorette Party Q

Original post by Toucan311

Is/did anyone NOT have one? I have like 2 friends, I feel like it will look pathetic, and I'd rather not have one at all. I'm old anyway!! Anyone else NOT want one or not have one for any particular reason?

im going to invite myself to your bparty so just let me know when and where

Jenise, I know that if scuba steve isn't at the party you'll totally be a no-show

I would bet any amount of money on that.

I *love* to shop, but I'm a bad person to shop with, or so I'm told. I encourage people to spend money!

A. I do not believe for one second that a girl with your sparkling personality has 2 friends. You have more than that on here.

B. There is nothing wrong with not wanting a Bachelorette party anyway. I don't want one, I'm too old and I don't want my daughter to feel left out. There is a nail salon in Babylon that will open for us after hours and we can do mani's and pedi's and bring snacks. And trust me, that is all I want.

C. And it's not that you have NO friends. You've just maybe realized that some of them weren't friends anyway and you dumped some dead weight. Now you have only really great friends.

D. I have like 2 friends anyway. 4 during the school year.

KWIM?

Heather I'm so sorry you sound so down.
I say go out and enjoy yourself with your friends in whatever way makes you happiest. I would totally come and celebrate your b-party with you! I totally understand though about not quite wanting one. Plus I get the whole being lonely...my FH works nights every week. Anytime you want you are more than welcome to come by and have a few drinks!

oh stop!!!! do you have cousins or even your mom/sibling.. you can do a comedy club and dinner thing.

we did that for a friend of mine and it was great (im not much the club person or getting drunk type) so this was perfect.

i def think you should do something!!!!

I hate it! Luckily I can shift my hours at home around... so I've been working at night so that we can have breakfast together, but it is NOT the same... We should get together, me you and Jenn, sometime soon!

i have a similar feeling... i have a few close girlfriends but my friends are scattered across the country. i think i'm going to have a 'real' bachelorette party with my bridal party in the ny area (still wont be that many people, especially since my cousin is only 17) and then theres a chance i might have a really low-key night out at a bar that we'll call a b-party with my small group of school friends out here (maybe 5-6 people max if they all come)

you should still have one if you want one though...

Re: Bachelorette Party Q

we felt the exact same way..we are old and practically married anyway...lol

You know we would all come out w/ ya if you wanted us to that is

plus our friends are out of state
(the BP friends) and now its too late, but we were going to to do a joint thing like go to dinner..so not really a bach party.

we will end up going out w/ the BP for dinner the night before the wedding

Re: Bachelorette Party Q

I had a VERY small one. 2 cousins, 2 friends and my SIL. A lot of my family (aunts, older and younger cousins, etc.) went to a restaurant for appetizers and drink, than our small group went to a local bar for the night. It was perfect. I'm not the type to be partying at a club so it was great!

LOL be careful about the mom thing. i was at a bar/restaurant for a friends birthday and there was a bachelorette party there ... with was a girl in a veil, some of her friends, and her mom. her mom had a tupperware of penis-cookies, homemade of course, and was handing them out. she was also handing out stickers like 'best lover' 'cutest smile' etc. all to random people. we were drinking and thought it was hilarious yet all swore we would never want our own moms doing that.

why dont you invite some LIWers along to your b-party if you want a bigger group of girls?
