Bachelorette Party - Recommendations for a Broadway Show?
Got any recommendations for Broadway shows to consider? I haven't been in a long time and would like to see something fun that everyone would likely enjoy.

My favorites are Rent, Wicked, and Les Mis. I would think that Legally Blonde would be fun for a bachelorette party, maybe Hairspray?

WICKED has phantastic music but be warned: to get affordable tickets (or tickets anytime soon) you might have to promsie telecharge your first born. VERY expensive. I was in nosebleed section, got my tickets a year in advance and still paid over 100 dollars per ticke-well my FMIL did. She took me for my birthday this past January. The music is phenomenal though. Even FH liked it and he hates brodway lol. Fell asleep during my fve, 'Phantom of the Opera.'
I LOVE Phantom-Hugh Panaro was THE best Erik ever, but though its my favorite, it depends if you guys want tragic romance and sexy music or something lighter.
HAIRSPRAY is funny. LES MIS is a classic. RENT I didnt care for. I also didn't care for CHICAGO too much. AVENUE Q is funny-puppets which is odd lol but its actually very clever. FORBIDDEN BROADWAY is HYSTERICAL! A cute one is 'I LOVE YOU. YOU'RE PERFECT. NOW CHANGE.'
I want to see THE PIRATE QUEEN but nooo moola right now!

Thanks for all the suggestions! My MOH is raving about Wicked, but it will likely be impossible to get tkts. Since we want to do this this month, I'm thinking Off-Broadway might be the less expensive option for us. Has anyone seen 'In the Heights'?

To get cheaper tickets, try going to the show and getting student rush tickets (did you keep your student id?) Also, there is the tkts booth in times square. There is rarely a time I spend over $50 to see a show.

Ave Q would be perfect b/c it's sooo funny. Wicked is Amazing Mamma Mia would be sooo much fun. Saw that last year for my 30th. Loved it and the Music! I heard Jersey Boys...
Top picks for a Girls night would be Mamma Mia or Ave Q. Nothing too opera type since you're going to be partying all night. You wanna have fun!
