Back for an update... No longer a 2008 bride but big news!
It has been a long time since I posted on here but so much stuff has happened in the past month. There has been a lot of family drama but the biggest news is that I am apparently pregnant! This was totally unexpected for both of us but I took 5 pregnancy tests last week and they all came back positive so it appears that we will be having a little baby! So far only my immediate family knows but we will probably tell people after another month or so.
I estimate I'm about 4-5 weeks along which as luck would have it would make the baby due right around our Nov 1 wedding date.
Sooooooooo Danny and I decided to push off the wedding to 09, possibly even 2010 so we can focus on the baby. It also gives us a lot more options with respect to planning the big wedding we always wanted.
I probably won't be around that much but just wanted to give you an update.

Congrats. My son is a Nov baby. Its a good time to give birth, you will have a few months to lose the baby fat before the summer

were people ok with the fact that you have a child out of wedlock? Danny's parents really want us to move UP our wedding so we will be married when I give birth but we don't want to do the whole shotgun wedding thing and we are willing to wait for a big wedding. of course this isn't really what we planned, but how much of life really is?

awww congratulations on the baby wish you all the best
and i think its a great decision to do this, sounds like its the best option for the two of you and if you both are happy with that decision then that is all that matters.

Do what is right for you, don't do something just because its what his parents want. If you would rather wait then go for it, when you do have your wedding then it should be what YOU want and how you envision it. They need to just get over it and once the baby comes they'll forget about all that because they'll focus on their new grandchild and nothing else will matter then

I think it's ok to hold off the wedding. Obviously, it's preferable not to have it out of wedlock but LIFE HAPPENS. His parents will get over it when they see the baby for the first time. Don't worry about it and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!

here is another option for you, only if its something you would like obviously. Friends of mine and fh's, the same thing happened with them. So they got married at city hall just to be married on paper when they found out she was pregnant and decided to wait to get married after the baby was born. We went to their wedding in the summer and it was sweet to see the baby up there with them and at the wedding.
PLUS its not a shotgun wedding bc its not like he will marry you ONLY bc of the fact that you are pregnant. You two were engaged before and were planning your wedding for this year, so you would've gotten married regardless, so stop thinking of it as a shotgun wedding
