Back for an update... No longer a 2008 bride but big news!

It has been a long time since I posted on here but so much stuff has happened in the past month. There has been a lot of family drama but the biggest news is that I am apparently pregnant! This was totally unexpected for both of us but I took 5 pregnancy tests last week and they all came back positive so it appears that we will be having a little baby! So far only my immediate family knows but we will probably tell people after another month or so.
I estimate I'm about 4-5 weeks along which as luck would have it would make the baby due right around our Nov 1 wedding date.
Sooooooooo Danny and I decided to push off the wedding to 09, possibly even 2010 so we can focus on the baby. It also gives us a lot more options with respect to planning the big wedding we always wanted.
I probably won't be around that much but just wanted to give you an update.

were people ok with the fact that you have a child out of wedlock? Danny's parents really want us to move UP our wedding so we will be married when I give birth but we don't want to do the whole shotgun wedding thing and we are willing to wait for a big wedding. of course this isn't really what we planned, but how much of life really is?
Do what is right for you, don't do something just because its what his parents want. If you would rather wait then go for it, when you do have your wedding then it should be what YOU want and how you envision it. They need to just get over it and once the baby comes they'll forget about all that because they'll focus on their new grandchild and nothing else will matter then

hey.. well first of allgood luck with the baby !!!!!!Secondly, this exact thing happened to my sister. However,she only pushed the wedding back a few months and my nephew attended the wedding in a 5 piece white suit

thank you everyone i really appreciate it. i decided to post here because we haven't really told people since it's so early but it was nice to be able to talk to people who werent our parents.
i'm really scared to be honest. this was not planned at all, and we are still pretty young. we probably wanted to wait another 2-3 years before trying. still, everything happens for a reason so we are just going to roll with the punches.

Congrats!!! My cousin got pregnant before she was even engaged .. they planned a wedding in 4 months and it was wonderful. I know that's not what you want and that's also fine!!! But she now has three kids and they are all beautiful and wonderful. Everything will be fine!!! I know you are scared - I would be too - but you are right, everything happens for a reason and you, my dear, were meant to be a mommy apparently.

WOW congrats! A lot of pregnancies aren't planned but you are with the person you love so that is all that matters! That is such exciting news!!
