I'm sitting at work minding my business when one of my Doctors came in and asked to talk to me. He was giving me a heads up that they hired a new girl to replace me. As it is they moved me to the new office we opened in July and i've been here since friday. I thought it was weird all the sudden they sent me here. They did it so I didnt see them training and interviewing. He said they are looking to fire me. The reason being is my supervisor ***** at her job so i get all her **** to do bc all she does it check her email all day. and I bust my *** hardcore. She must be thretened by me and she wants me gone. They all loved me there and then all of the sudden my supervisor was trying to find any little thing I did wrong and she would tell me boss. I had my review 2 weeks ago and it started off good and then all of the sudden they asked me if i still wanted to work there bc they didnt think I did bc of my proformance. In which all came out of my supervisors mouth bc my boss is never there to actully see whats going on or even work along side me. So she has no clue what goes on. I tried sticking up for myself and she just kept going on and on and on about how i dont want to work which is BS i do everything in that f-in office and she sits on her fat *** all day. UGh i dont know what to do, I dont know when this is going to happen. I have so many bills and i need to save for the wedding i can't lose my job. This sh*t alwasy happens to me

Yea that does stink....i don't know your living situation but maybe you can talk to your parents and see if they can help you out till you find something new.

Doctors offices are the worst places to work. theres no HR person they run this place horribly. I've been here since may. That was the only review i ever got. What he said theyre doing is hiring this girl as a part time floater so they dont have to give Ins. and stuff like that. So they'll prob lay me off and say that they dont need a F/T medical assistant anymore. as it is i'm not getting my 40 hours this place has been nothing but B.s. since i started.
i totally agree... the 2nd dr's offfice i worked at was just like urs... 1st of all i was hired as a Med assistant... mind you i worked with the dr's and then did procedures with them (colonoscopy,endos ect...) next thing i know one of the 2 recpts quits.... and they ask me to fill in a few hrs up front/... that then turns into me working 7am-7pm mon-thurs n fri7am-3pm....
after me busting my *** 24 7 or them... they hire anew recp.. and now cut my hrs biig time since they dont need me in the front n now with the other med asst in the back i dont need so many hrs... after that the B(*&^% med asst thought i was her slave.... that stupid B*^^% would talk so much crap about me n verytime i confronted her she had nothing to say... one day i called FH and was crying telling him i hated my job n i know i need a job but give me 1 reason why i shouldnt quit right now.. he turned around n told me to tell them to go F(*&&^% themselfs... so i did n quit lol... Dr offices suckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk to work in!!! thnak god i now work at the hosp...
but yu should def look 4 a job asap craigslist has alot /.... honestly if i was you... i would go tell ur supervisor about herself... then quit and take the weekend off then tues start scheduling interviews... yea it sux but i wouldnt wann work at a place that wants me gone for no reason...

i know but im not seeing a lot of job so im afraid im not going to get somthing with the pay i need bc of the economy so i figured if i get fired i get unemployment and atleast thats somthing for now ya know. I'm trying to get into a hospital. What hosp do you work at? Are they hiring and what do you do there? im stressing so much. i have 2 more hours

i agree, its best that they let you go so at least you can collect unemployment and search for something else in the meantime.. i always see lots and lots of ad in sundays career section for healthcare jobs so you have a good chance!!

lots of hugs- I'm sorry your day scks and your boss definatly scks alot. Its really immature to get rid of someone just because they're better than you. Any other place is lucky to have you. If they fire you its their loss.

I'm so sorry But just remember that when one door closes, another one opens. I keep telling fh that about his job. You don't need that loser boss you work for, that's really sh**** to do that to you. I would just walk out and start looking for another job and not even wait for her to fire you if you could.

sorry this is soo F-up ... i would go talk to th boss on my own with out the manager there .. and tell him the truth .. tell them u lov ur job and hwat u do and u dont think she should b speaking for u about whether u want to be there or not

Everything you do to keep that department running. Document it. If you can find evidence that you're doing exactly what you've been asked to do in a reasonable time frame or any time where you 'stepped up to the plate' forward it to your supervisor's boss.
Talk to them... they shouldn't fire you without written and verbal warnings first. Unless it's a major offense (stealing, etc.) New York is an at-will employment state, but no one wants to get sued for wrongful termination.
If you have any friends in HR talk to them about any recourse you may have...

My old job was horrible and I cried everyday and ended up taking anti-anxiety meds because I was having panic attacks and not sleeping. Now I love my job, im so glad I quit!!! And I don't take those meds anymore either.
You'll get another job healthcare doesn't suffer as much, like the rest of the economy.

thanks girls your the best! My brother dragged me out for a few drinks last night to get my mind off it. Im still sending out my res. I hope I get an interview by monday lol. Well time to get in the shower I have to pick up FH from JFK in a lil bit I cant wait to hold him in my arms I need a hug sooooo bad

You should threaten legal action or go to some kind of worker's board in your area. There must be something you can do! Well at least when you're gone (god forbid), they'll see what a lazy a$$ she is and regret their decision. Maybe then they'll hire you back as the supervisor!

I wish that would happen but then to be a biotch I wouldnt take the position! The benifits suck anyway and theyre all about $$$$ thats all they care about
