I need to lose weight STAT. I plan on going to the gym every day for 14 days straight - aside from massive amounts of cardio what can I do to lose weight?
Pills, fruit juice diets, anything!!! What can I do?
Thanks!

I do weight watchers & while its not fast- it stays off easier- you have to watch some of the fad diets where you take off the pounds fast- as soon as you eat normally again- you gain it back right away.... Just my opinion
that's something i really don't want, so i'd rather take it slow and do what i can!

blah blah, we all know what to do, if anyone has any good diet pills let me know, hahahah. I know this girl who was getting married and had some shady dr prescribe her diet pills and she was loosing so much weight her dress had to be altered like 10 times, i know its bad for you but im down for a quick fix just for the few months before the wedding.
for me personally i dont want to just lose weight i want to tone up alot and get to where i used to be and only way is through exercise.
I know what youre talking about, ALOT of people i know went nuts to try and get them...Let me tell you now though its not like something MIGHT happen to you later on, expect to be more than hyperactive, not be able to sleep and basically its like you're on drugs. My mom took that and i got real upset with her, of course she felt the same way you did. Then after just a short period of time i noticed the big change in her just being around her. My mom is the most laid back relaxed person ever, and all of a sudden she was so hyper, couldn't even sit down, was talking NON-stop, couldn't sleep at night and then she told me about how she was also feeling...THANK GOD she finally stopped. After being on it for even longer it gets alot worse. Have you ever seen requiem for a dream, the mother in the movie was prescribed those pills and remember what happened to her? if not watch it, it will make you think twice.
It seriously will give you the same effects of being on drugs

ok so, i know others are going to frown upon this lol and I am def not recommending this to ANYONE on this board but... I take pills that are not exactly healthy. They don't speed me up or anything crazy. They are a prescription that I buy from an online pharmacy. Doctors wont prescribe it to anyone unless they have a BMI of 45 or over... my BMI is only 23 so they def wouldnt prescribe it to me. I don't use them to starve myself (although when you are on them you really have to force yourself to eat) I eat 6 small meals throughout the day and it just helps me not to cheat. So, I don't think it's really what you are looking for cause its not exactly a fat burner. But, with everyone offering the 'healthy advice'... i just wanted to say that you aren't the only one that wants quick results. This is what I take:
Dont forget to drink plenty of water! ANd definitly stay away from diet pills!!!

If you keep reading even further you will notice severe problems people had.
also one girl said how she was on it years ago and she was told you have to gradually reduce your intake bc you will gain weight...well she gained 40 pounds back.
another girl who said she stopped taking it had severe depression and an even more increased appetite than before she took meridia

and here is the list of side effects to see them all together instead of scrolling through the whole other page.
This sounds JUST like all the other weight loss pills, that raise your blood pressure and some even to dangerous levels, insomnia, nervousness, anxiety, constipation
What are the possible side effects of Meridia? • If you experience any of the following serious side effects, stop taking Meridia and seek emergency medical attention or contact your doctor immediately: · an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives); · an irregular heartbeat; · high blood pressure (severe headache, blurred vision); or · seizures. • Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur. Continue to take Meridia and talk to your doctor if you experience · restlessness or tremor, · nervousness or anxiety, · mild headache or dizziness, · insomnia, · dry mouth or an unpleasant taste in your mouth, or · constipation. • Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.
Here is what meridia is and does:
Meridia works by boosting levels of certain chemical messengers in the nervous system, including serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine. Meridia works by inhibiting the reuptake of the neurochemicals norepinephrine, serotonin, and dopamine which in turn suppresses the appetite in the appetite control centers in the brain. This is similar to what Prozac and other anti-depressants do.
You'll still get hungry, but it will take less food to make you feel full. So you end up eating smaller portions.

What are the possible side effects of Meridia? ? I read through the side effects carefully before I decided to take it... luckily i have had NO side effects. No fast heart beat, no trembling, no emotional ups and downs. I feel exactly the same as I did before except I don't want to eat all day long. The list of side effects is huge... thats why I said I don't recommend it for anyone (unless your doctor OK's it)
I don't get hungry at all though. Thats why I said I have to force myself to eat. I can hardly even feel my stomach (full or hungry). I could go the entire day without eating and not even feel it.
Most doctors will be upfront with you and tell you if you are going to harm yourself by taking something. I went to my doctor and basically said 'I know you can't prescribe it to me but, I bought it online and I want your honest opinion... will it hurt me?' He said if I was going to use it to starve myself then yes it will hurt me... but as long as I make sure I don't starve and I dont have any side effects, I will be fine. So, once again (heres the generic warning that comes on all diet pill bottles:) you should check with your doctor before taking ANY diet pills ... even if you dont get them legally.

well im glad you went to your doctor, Unfortunately alot of people don't. I'm glad its working for you and you don't have any side effects. I'll be honest with you regardless im still against diet pills. Unfortunately people can still get effected by them later on down the road. I don't know how long you have been taking them but if you read alot of things about not just meridia but other ones too, people don't develop something until months after they started using it or some even longer. There are people who used it for a long time until they had problems and there are some who didn't have problems until after they stopped taking it, some of the reviews people said they were fine until they stopped, infact quite a few people complained about things that happen when they stopped taking it. Sometimes people don't know the effects of things they are taking until a while down the road. Also keep in mind that once you stop taking the pills you are more than likely going to put on the weight rapidly especially with a pill that is sending chemicals to your brain to stop your hunger, once that chemical is not being sent to your brain you're gonna go back to the old way of thinking about food. This is the case with not just pills but any diet where you are completely eating differently. When i was working out almost everyday and eating very healthy for a year and then i stopped i put on weight so quickly. Your stomach shrinks when you don't eat alot, and then when you do begin eating more than you have been you will basically gain back twice as much as you normally would...even eating amounts of food that are not that much, but still more than you have been used to will make you gain more than usual. And when you lose weight, gain weight and then lose again you are losing muscle mass each time and your fat body percentage goes up which is permanent and then it becomes even harder to lose it agin
AND PLEASE stop using it awhile before you plan on getting pregnant.
This is NOT against you so don't take it the wrong way, it is just against diet pills...It is important to prepare your body a while before you get pregnant. I started taking omega 3 pills from a while ago and doctors recommend taking pre-natal pills for months or even up to a year before you plan on getting pregnant. The reason why is because pre-natal pills are most crucial during the first trimester and infact even more so right when you get pregnant...most women get pregnant and you go when you are close to 3 months for check ups and thats when you'll take prenatal pills, but by 3 months brain development has already begun. So thats why its good to take it even before you get pregnant because this way once the baby is conceived the pills will help with its brain development at a time when it is most crucial for a baby
