Bad Night Last NIght..............................UPDATED
So most of you know I'm a Paramedic. Well I was bringing a VERY Sick patient to NYU last night when a car cut-off the ambulance as we were going lights and sirens![]()
My partner slammed on the breaks so we wouldn't hit him and I went flying ( I was standing up get a medication ready). I felt my shoulder POP out and fell backwards. I'll save you some details but I popped my shoulder back in myself, puked from the pain, and we kept going into the city with the patient; we couldn't stop because she was critical.
I went back to my hospital after and was seen in the ER. I sucessfully put my shoulder back in place but I need to go see an Orthopedist tomorrow because I may have sprained the muscles in my rotator cuff or worse case scenario I tore some stuff.![]()

So I'm in a sling and in EXTREME PAIN and I'm getting married in 26 Days![]()

I just pray it is a sprain and I don't need surgery. I'm SOOOOOOO USPET![]()

UPDATE: So I went to the Doctor today. NOT GOOD!!!! I'm out at least 8 weeks from work I may have torn cartiledge. I need to have an MRI done and start physical therapy. If I did tear cartiledge then after the 8 weeks I will need to have reconstructive surgery. I'm so upset. I just talk to workmans compensation and they won't even come close to payin my salary. I can't believe it. I'm buying a ouse in 3 days and getting married in 25 and I'm barely going to get paid. All because some A**Hole decided to cutt-off an ambulance while going lights an sirens.
