Bad Wedding

I went to a wedding on Saturday... it was soo bad.
It started at 7:30 and we didn't get fed until 8:45. We were just sitting there starving to death for over an hour. Like, they could have at least put a bread basket on the tables. Then they finally opened up the food... a buffet!! There was no substantial food either. On my plate... string beans, pasta, and mashed potatoes. FH went back up to get more food because he was hungry and there was no more food.

It was like a nightmare

That's pretty shocking for an LI wedding! I know that's kinda how it is out of state and would expect that anywhere else, but that's pretty bad for a NY/LI wedding. I try to keep in mind what the wedding is REALLY about though and it keeps it in perspective. Still rude to run out of food for your guests though!

That does sound bad!....My Best friend went to a wedding this past weekend also where the couple didnt show up until 11pm!! and everyone was there since 7:30!!

i went there for a wedding last year.. we had a sit down dinner .. ch wasn't too great (guy passed around pizza bites etc).. but we definitely did NOT run out of food!

OMG! where were they? what were the guests doing until they finally showed?

I once went to a wedding where we didn't get our main course until 12:30am.

I mean, the CH was plentiful, and then there was salad and pasta courses, but STILL.
