Bahamas or Grand Cayman? Opinions please! :)

We're planning to go away in August with another couple, and we are trying to decide between these two places! I was just wondering if anyone has been to either and if you have any feedback? They both look beautiful! We have not been to either, so we're having a difficult time deciding.

I have been to both several times and definetly say Bahamas. Grand Cayman get's boring after one day The Bahamas is absolutely beautiful. And there is more nightlife and they have casinos. Plus the water is gorgeous. And the Bahamians are so friendly!! And shopping is great too!!

FH and I won a trip to Grand Cayman last year. We had a BLAST!!!! We stayed at the Grand Hyatt.
We were there for 6 days and loved every minute. It is very 'couples' As said above the people are just SO nice, we felt VERY safe on the island and there was so much to do. Night life was a bit dead, but we're more daytime people.
Some of the things we did:
We took a boat tour to Sting Ray City, where you can swim with the sting rays. We went on a snorkeling trip where we snorkeled on a few different reefs. We went to the Turtle farm, went to the town called Hell. We took a ferry to Rum Point, a secluded beach where you can just hang for the day- rent jet skis etc. We went shopping in town. We hung out at the pool and beach at our hotel, went to some amazing dinners. (the restaurant at the Hyatt was amazing, and we had a great time at Bed and there was this little Italian place near the cruise port that was soooo good as well)
And the highlight of our trip was the booze cuise we took on a real live pirate ship!! It was called the Jolly Roger and we STILL tell everyone about it.
Defintley GRAND CAYMAN!!! We've been to the Bahamas and it was ordinary and a much younger crowd - when we were there this past summer, there were lots of HS kids!
GC was just terrific.
