Are cupcakes cheaper or more expensive than a normal cake?
How much should I expect to spend on each cupcake?

I AM!!!! Mine are $1 each plus $75 for the tower that they provide (if I provided the stand, I save the $75 but I couldn't be bothered looking for one with so much else to do)
ETA: I'm having a traditional cake AND the cupcakes, traditional is choclate cake with white frosting and cupcakes are butter yellow with fudge topping)

Create-A-Cake in Port Jeff Station. If you look through their books they can do ANYTHING, I wasn't too impressed with the stuff on their website, but when I went there and looked through their books, there was HUNDREDS of pictures of these AMAZING cakes. They have 2 locations, but JMO create-a-cake is better staff wise
Again, the pictures on the site really kind of stink, go look at their book!
theres a place in oceanside called sweet things..i hope its still there..my friend got hers there, they were delicious.. otherwise try riesterers in west hempstead or garden city..they are amazing!! and if u go ask for jennifer, and tell them jaime, the crazy bride with the red velvet cake sent you ;)

I recently attended a wedding where the bride and groom had a cupcake cake/stand. The cupcakes were absolutely delicious. They had vanilla/chocolate/carrot/ and a few other flavors:

ours was no additional charge for the cupcakes. We built our own tiers though because we didn't like the one provided. It's in my photo album.

I want to create something like this. I guess they are mini cakes vs cupcakes. I thought they were really pretty.
