Bamboo favor explanation

Hello ladies,
I am doing bamboo favors. I have been searching for a saying/explanation to go along with the favor. I think they are lucky in stalks of 3's, so I was thinking of something explaining what the 3 symbolize, or a little poem or something. Any ideas? Thanks so much.

we did bamboo favors --- we were thinking of doign somrthing like 'love grows' but in the end - we just put your basic favor tags on ----- our names and date and matched the black and white pinstripes that we used through eveything else....

Why Is It Called 'Lucky' Bamboo?

Along with its ease of growth, Lucky Bamboo has long been associated with the Eastern practice of Feng Shui - or the bringing of natural elements of water, fire, earth, wood and metal into balance within the environment. Lucky Bamboo is believed to be an ideal example of the thriving wood and water element, with the addition of a red ribbon sometimes tied around the stalks - which is believed to 'fire' the positive flow of energy or chi in the room. The number of stalks also has meaning : three stalks for happiness; five stalks for wealth; six stalks for health. Four stalks, however, are always avoided - since the word 'four' in Chinese sounds too similar to the Chinese word for 'death'!

I LOVE bamboo! We are doing our bedroom and bathroom in a bamboo theme. That's a great idea! We are using wine stoppers as our wedding favors.

At many Italian weddings 3 Jordan almonds are given along with the favors. The number 3 represents the bride, the groom, and their future child together. Maybe the bamboo could have the same meaning. HTH!!

I dont know but I wanted to sya thats a great idea for a favor. It will last FOREVER! I have it in my bathroom on my counter. It looks great and it never dies even though I keeo forgetting to water it. It has lasted forever!
