Band Help

I am hoping someone else has run into this before. We are starting to look at bands, and because my FH's family is very Irish, and his parents are very much into the traditional music and dancing, we'd like a band that can play both irish music and american music. I have already seen Andy Cooney, and they were pretty good, but I am not sold on him. Anybody have ideas or suggestions? Any help is very much appreciated!

Band Help

our band has some irish songs on their list - maybe they can learn some more for you. Not sure how many you need but you can check out their song list (often when I requested a song from them, they already knew it but it wasn't on their list yet so you should call or email for the most current info) currentaffairmusic.com they're an awesome band - good luck.

Band Help - Tommy Mulvahill Band

A friend's sister used them a couple of years ago, and I believe they played some Irish music. I'm sorry - I don't have their contact info.

Band Help

I`ve looked through the 'Irish Echo' newspaper & there`s an ad for: The Cara Band -Call Gerry Finlay (631)277-5471 for info & Playlist. (I`ve never seen them (sorry) The NY Show band featuring Tommy Flynn (914) 969-3500 (I haven`t seen them in a while but they used to be good) Victor Cunneen (516) 248-9214 MY friend had him for her cocktail hour. He`s good! Celtic Justice - www.dennisGallery.com Eamonn Ryan`s Showband (973) 239-5275 For the most part if you call them you can see if they are playing at a pub & then you can get a 'real' look at them. There`s also a band out of PA that I`ve seen & I`m hoping will play NY soon so my FH will get to see them. They are fun!! (& young) They are called Blackthorn 215-703-0128. I hope these help! Good Luck & keep me posted!

Band Recommendations - Slainte!

Tommy Flynn & The NY Showband played my wedding (Oct., 2000). Good Clean Fun played my SIL's wedding (April, 2001). Gerry Finlay & The Cara Band, Irish Mist and Shelailei Law (sp?) are all great. With St. Paddy's Day just around the corner, you should have no shortage of good bands. Try to get to Rory Dolan's in Yonkers during St. Paddy's week, he ususally has an Irish band every night. BTW, my sister had The Cunningham Brothers - waay overrated.
