So we have our church, reception locale, photographer, room blocks, rehersal dinner all booked. Yay for that! Now here is my quesiton....
Does anyone have any recomendations for bands in the Hudson Valley or the Catskills. We only have about 8k in the budget for a band and I can't seem to find anyone up around that area. If you have any suggestions please, send them my way.

'10 crashing - I booked Vali Entertainment, they are located in NYC. They have 4 or 5 different bands. If you can cut down on the pieces, you can get in that budget. I am getting 7 pieces (maybe 6 I forget) for under $8k. They are amazing.

ok although we still dont know what we are doing in the music department ... one our friends got married and used east coast band ... they are doing a showcase thursday night at the Inn at New Hyde Park if you want to see them. we liked them ... and when i called for pricing they were very nice and said they could work with any budget from $4500 and up! i thought that sounded pretty good ... i mean i dont think you can get a 10 piece band for $4500 but anyway ... you should check them out!

We used Soul Revival, and they were amazing. They play everything from R&B to Rock to disco. One of my friends is getting married at the Castle on the Hudson next month, and she's using Soul Revival too, so they play up there for sure. Check them out. HTH www.soulrevivalband.com

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll check them out and let you know. Yeah, I don't think that we are gonna get anywhere close to a 10 piece but we just want something more than a dj. My fiance really wants a band and our venue is great for that.
We are getting married about 12miles south or so of Tannersville!!! Our church is in Pheonica. I'm so excited its beautifull there.
