Will anyone like to share the price they are paying for a band?

We payed $4500 for our reception band, and since we used the same company for everything, we got the classical trio for ceremony and the calypso band for the CH for another $1000.

i got a couple of quotes from Next Phase and some other bands (can't remember the names), they ranged from $7,700 - $8,500 - that's why I'm getting a DJ - even though I'm sure a band would be way better!

I actually like DJ's better, always have...and it works out becasue my DJ is only charging me 850
