Band RANT (Long, sorry)
I'm so mad about this right now i could scream...
A few months ago, my band leader told me that the saxophone player that was in the band has left. He couldn't take the pressure of traveling etc (they travel all over the country), and so he dropped out. SO - we email the band leader and ask if we can get the sax player for the wedding. He says shouldn't be a problem, talk to the manager. So finally after following up with the manager 3 times (um, seriously - it's your JOB to write me back.. ugh!), he finally gets back to me last night and says that the sax player is available, and his fee is $750.
Excuse me... what?!
When I signed the contract, he was in the band. Aren't they contractually obligated to provide me with the same band (with the same people) when I signed the contract???? AND to make matters worse, they changed the female singer not one, but TWO times recently, and I didn't say a WORD about that (even though I was really pissed about it b/c i found out on Facebook). They got a new signer and she's awesome, so I didn't throw a fit about that one. Keep in mind there are no names on the contract, but i DID have them add in the female lead singer's name bc i loved her so much, so already they're breaching.
I'm just so annoyed right now. Shouldn't they have to give me what I signed a contract for? I don't want to get in a legal battle with them, but I'm REALLY p.ooo'd!!!
What do you ladies think I should do? I already wrote the manager back saying that we were under the impression that he would be included in the price considering that's what we signed up for, and we cannot afford to add him for that price.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh i'm SO mad!!!!!!!!
