Band Suggestions?

Does anyone have any suggestions on a good band that is not very very expensive (not over $6000.00)? Has anyone used Sweetwater? Thanks so much

Band Suggestions?

I went w/ Paris. I booked them in July and they were $5500, but I heard through the grapevine that they went up. You can contact them and a number of other bands through Sound Check Entertainment in Mineola.

No specific type..general variety music but with some brass horn section.

Heart and Soul...a Franklin Wayne Music Band

I agree, check out Franklin Wayne bands....

We are using Heart and Soul also. Their other bands are great as well. Franklin Wayne is a pleasure to work with. We have also booked a three piece string ensamble tharough them for our ceremony. We did not have the deposit with us when we booked them, and they just told us that they would put us down for them and will send us a contract when we either stopped by with the $ or sent them a check. This way we would not loose the date. They were also not in a rush for us to give them the deposit. Good luck!

Full House

We're using Full House www.fullhousemusic.com and they are also represented by Franklin Wayne Music. I suggest not going through FranklinWayne though - you'll probably get a better deal. They are a terrific band and you can hear them at any of the bars they play at or through a wedding showcase. My sister used Sweetwater at her wedding a long time ago and they were incredible. Had everyone up on the dance floor all night. I know people who have used them since and are just as pleased.

Sweetwater at Franklin Wayne, too

By the way, you can get Sweetwater at Franklin Wayne Music also (to answer an earlier question). I like dealing with the agency, because my cousin booked Timepiece through them and they were very nice and helpful with planning all the music.
