Band VS DJ

hi everyone! so music is our next big challenge- what do you all prefer- a band, dj, or a combo!!! and any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!!

I found a band I love so we just need to decide if its truly worth it! :)

Band VS DJ

We got a DJ and hired a Jazz trio band for cocktail hour all through Bravura. I would HIGHLY recommend them, since I've seen them in action at two weddings and they are just amazing

Agreed! We booked Bravura too. We have a DJ and three piece band during the reception. So excited!

I say a dj all the way! I was recently at a wedding that had a band and didnt like it at all, it was old fashioned to me. It's really what you like because its your big day!

I'm in the same boat.....I think the band looks nicer but I feel a DJ gets more people involved.....I'm up in the air about which one I want also

I saw about 12-15 bands before I booked mine bc I had specific things in mind for a band. I didnt even look at djs, I love live music. If you want a list, FM me, and I'll write a list and what I thought of them, and their quotes (as many as I got/can remember) when I get home from work tomorrow night.

Band VS DJ

I LOVE live music, so does FH so we only looked at bands. In my opinion, it gets people up more, they still play a variety of music and for those who can't dance (older people etc) it gives them something to watch.. it's entertainment! We chose David Clark and the Renegades and I HIGHLY recommend you check them out! Our close second choice, JK Band.

I know ALOT of people like DJ's, but for us, it was worth the extra money!

That sounds like a good idea.....which company did you use and if possible can you fm me your quote.

Could you please FM me your list as well? It would be so helpful! Just started looking at DJs because we thought bands would be too expensive..

Band VS DJ

We got a band and feel it's worth the extra money. For us, nothing beats live music; there is nothing better than an actual guitar solo played by a musician.

That being said, it also depends on the quality - band, DJ or otherwise. I've seen some pretty awful examples of both.

We love live music, and had an amazing band at our wedding two months ago, Soul Revival, they rocked. We have seen them play some friends/coworkers weddings and knew they were great, and they had so much energy for our night too. Everyone was on the dance floor, and my friends and family are still talking about them. They literally played everything, and even learned 5 songs for us, and my dad too.
