Bands

Has anyone seen or hired an Irish Band for their wedding? We are considering it, but don't know any that actually do weddings. What are the prices? Are they in line with regular bands? Is it alot more $$ than a DJ? Thanks for your help.

Bands

I know that Andy Cooney plays weddings - his web site www.andycooney.com. Also, I posted about this a few weeks ago - do a search, I got lots of suggestions. As for $, I am not sure what a DJ runs, but bands seem to be in the 4000-7000 range. Hope this helps!

Bands

Any band will cost you more than a Dj - depending on what DJ and how many giveaways and extras you choose. My friend's DJ is costing her about $3000. I would also recommend Andy Cooney - he is very reasonable - I believe under $5000 - and does a great job. I've been to weddings where he has played.
