Bands

Instead of having a Dj i am thinking I would like a band to play. How do i go about finding one?

I am having Daybreak's Night with Franklin Wayne. I researched 3 or 4 bands, and this is the band I liked the best.

yep, you just contact the group, you can find a lot on this site, and you see when their showcases are. You go there, and they make sure your date is still open, then they play a bunch of songs to show you how well they sing, and their style.

Franklin Wayne has 4 or 5 bands, so I would contact them, you can find them under Vendors up top, and they will send you any information you need.

FM if you need any other help. I'll let you know the other bands if you want to as well.

I researched band web site audio/video clips, went to showcases, and asked them to send me DVDs if there weren't any showcases coming up.

yep!! also, they will send you dvd's in the mail for you to see them, you can usually get a vibe from the cd..but make sure you try to see them in person as well if they have showcases.

I am using Soul Revival. i saw them at a friends wedding and loved them. I would say that seeing them live is very important. This way you can see how they sound and it will give you the best idea of what they are like. I would also talk with the band leader and see what you think about them too. If you can't see them at a wedding like I did, then a showcase is great. I just went with my cousin when I was in LA (I am her MOH) a few weeks ago, to a showcase of a band she is considering. She ended up booking with them. I know I rambled a bit I would recommend Soul Revival though. www.soulrevivalband.com I hope this helps!!!

i was at a wedding a few weeks ago and their band was just fabulous! Hank Lane Orchestra.
Another wedding I went to a few years ago also had a fabulous band- Times Square Orchestra.

I would check out Arcaida from LI Paramount. They are a fantastic band. We looked at at least 8 bands and they were by far the best. Arcadia

times square orchestra was FABULOUS at my wedding! they were the hit of the party--people can't stop talking about them. my DH's (i just wrote fiance but had to erase it!! ) father is probably hiring them for his company's christmas party since so many of his co-workers were at the wedding and loved them!
