i already booked my band, code bleu from skyline orchestras. i love them. i just love live music overrall, especially at a wedding...even though its expensive lol. check them out! and i know a few other 2010 brides booked bands too

I am not doing it because there are a lot of songs I just want to hear by the original artist. I can't see myself out there dancing to a cover of billie jean by MJ, but some people like it! I say check out a few diff bands see how they sound and then decide what you want to do...
i think a band adds more to the wedding reception. to me live music is so much better than anything recorded and their rendition of a song could actually be better (or worse, lol depending on how u look at it) in a different way. a good band also gets more people up and into dancing from my experiences at parties/weddings. i just like the whole aura that a band and live music gives off if u know what i mean lol. it was one thing i wanted to splurge on (i chose it instead of having video - cuz i just didnt think that was necessary for my taste)

exactly, everyone has different tastes. believe me, ive heard horrible bands and djs too lol. my cousin's wedding was a disaster, all the dj played was hard rock and no one danced. my dad asked them to play an oldies song that the whole family likes and their response was 'we dont do country'it wasnt even close to being a country song. and then there was the time i saw a band at a wedding and i think my ears were bleeding. it was sooo loud and they sounded horrible.
