Banks - Please vote for your favorite...

So... I have my bank... which has been bothering lately! Two times they have had security issues and had to cancel everyone's check card and reissue... so currently it's cancelled and I have yet to receive my new one so I cannot access my money without driving 10 miles to the nearest branch!!!!

FI has his bank and we set up a joint account and they are ticking us off right now too!!! The tellers are dimwhits. FI has his personal and business account there and now with our wedding account they cannot name them so I have to to memorize account numbers when I go make deposits... Are you forkin' kidding me!!!

Then there's the bank is up the block and we both literally drive past it 3 times a day at least!!! We have no experience with it but may try it out for the convenience factor.

Anyone have pleasant/negative experiences with the following and please explain!!!!!

I know this isn't one of your options but, I just started banking at Commerce and I love them (so far).

Everyone is sickenly nice and they are open 7 days a week. I have one near my apartment and one near work so it is really convenient.

yeah... I'm big on the convenience factor.

Bethpage is like 10+ miles.

WaMu is like 2 miles.

And AssFed is 5 blocks!

Another vote for Commerce!! I switched to them from WAMU!!!

It also upsets me because FH wants me to switch to his bank for the joint account!! (He has Bank of America)

Oh, and if you have a dog in the car and you go through Commerce's drive thru windows, they give you doggie treats!!!

I deposited $$$ in the ATM machine at Suffolk County National Bank. Ive never had a problem before but they totally screwed me!!! 2 weeks after I deposited my loot I started getting bounced check notices. As I knew this was impossible I went to the bank to get a balance. They told me it was well overdrawn. We went through the whole thing and after a long argument they found my money had slipped between the guts of the machine and the bin that holds all of the deposits. Well they told me that they would not take care of the charges I have now incurred. When I asked why not they told me it was my fault for being lazy and depositing into the ATM instead of a real teller!!! Can you believe that crap???

I can NOT believe this! I would fight with them. Speak to the highest person you can. They should not get away with that!! FH was just telling me that you can now deposit money into the ATMs, I didn't feel comfortable with it...glad he didn't do it.

I plan on it. I already have like 6 calls in to the Prez. Depositing $$ into the ATM is more headache than it's worth!!!!

I was looking at them the other day at the branch in the city and was wondering about that. I guess you can bring your doggie in too!

I always eat a lollipop when I'm there. I banked at a local bank where I used to live and my FH banked there so I just switched when we moved.

Another Vote for COMMERCE!!!!!! IO love them and the fact that they are open 7 days a week!!!!

WAMU all the way......it's convenient for me living in NYC. There are branches all over. And I like their free checking.

I actually like bank of America, they've been really nice to me.
My work uses Commerce and we love them, we switched from chase (one of the worst banking experiences i've had). Commerce is so friendly and they have lollipops and doggy treats at the teller counters.
