Has anyone had to be baptized before they were married? My fiance has never really gone to church - except with me sometimes. We were going to use my mom's pastor. Had our first marriage session and she says he needs to be baptized first. We're not even getting married in her church. We're just having her perform the wedding. Has this happened to anyone else? Wedding is in 1 month!

Hmmmm I remember reading something from oct.2004bride about her FH making confirmation I think. WHy don't you try to FM her?

My best friends fiance isn't baptized and our church isn't giving them a problem about it. They said as long as she has done everything (baptism, communion, confirmation etc) then its fine-but maybe its slightly different depending on the officiant.

Our church has the same rule.... since fh was baptised, communion, conformation etc then it was ok... I have never been baptised or done any of the stuff listed above.. they were really nice and understanding about it! Not like the other churches we visited

I'm not sure if she'll go through with it if he doesn't do the baptism. We'll have to see what happens.
