Bars in NYC

Looking for a bar where we can meet up with lots of friends for our first visit in the city since February! (we moved abroad)

Looking for something in the Chelsea-ish, Union Square area. any suggestions???

Near Union Square is Old Town Pub at 45 East 18th Street. They have food and drinks and its been around since 1892.

Trendier is Coffee Shop which is bar and restaurant and its right off of Union Square.

Those are the two I can think of right now.

Okay there's Eugene's on 27 (i think) between 6th and 5th, it's very big and has couches, big bar, dance floor (there's a cover). There's 40/40 Club (JayZ) bar. It's right around the corner from Eugene's-no cover, but not to much seating space, music is good, The Park (West side-10th Ave) Restaurant and Bar, multiple levels, more upscale, very big. There's a bunch of places on Park ave around Union Square-Lemon Bar, W hotel (downstairs there's a club, lounge.

Kanvas on 9th between 23 and 24th maybe. Awesome martinis and they have a private room downstairs if you are interested. All the art on the walls you can buy too!
