I am looking for inexpensive baskets to fill for our OOT guest who are staying at the hotel for the wedding... I need to make about 40 baskets so I don't want to spend more than a dollar... if it gets to much I will just use bags... but I wanted to know if anyone knew where I could go for these baskets... TIA...

You may want to try FantasyLand in Patchogue. They have a pretty big selection.
Something to consider: Are your guests going to be able to bring the baskets home? If they're all from out-of-town, will it be one more thing to bring home?
I don't want to sound negative, because the baskets WOULD be really cute.
I know that we're going to have about 50 rooms in a hotel filled with OOT guests, and we kicked around all kinds of ideas for the in-room welcome presents, and ultimately decided on nice bags.

yeah I guess the basket would be just another thing for them to carry... maybe they would just leave them there... maybe someone would want them... I just think they would look so nice all wraped up and all...

I think we are going to use these-- they are like 3.95 each, but we love them... Since the wedding is so far away, we may change due to cost-- but for now-- this is it!

I'd check out the dollar stores....a big chainm out here in RI is the Dollar Tree, I imagine they are everywhere....

I would try dollar stores also. And I saw plain bags at Michaels, like gift bags. They were six for a dollar and you could decorate the bag if you wanted with a sticker or something.

we are going to use plain gift bags in white from michaels. i think they are 5.99 for 12, if i am ambitious i may decorate them.

We wanted to do the same thing, but most of our OOT Guests are flying, and a basket is going to be difficult to get home, so we are using bags with raffia ribbon.
