Bayshore-Captain Bill's

Does anyone know anything about a place called the Bayview House..It is next door to a place called Captain Bill's in Bayshore..Any input would be great..

I just got back from my honeymoon last night and thought I'd post some details.

I got married on June 4th - an absolutely beautiful day!!!! The day was perfect!! Ceremony in Brooklyn, Reception at the Sandcastle. It was all absolutely perfect. The photographer (Famous Studio) was wonderful (although I haven't gotten proofs back yet). The Flowers were great and the Band made the night. Most of my guests are still raving about them (East Coast). I even had a couple who is getting married in October who is regretting not hiring them for their wedding.

Bayshore-Captain Bill's

Andrea,

I've actually been to Captain Bill's restaurant a few times and my rehearsal dinner will be there. The Bayview house is a separate annex (but part of Captain Bills) where they hold weddings. I'm pretty sure it opened within the past year. From what I've heard and seen it's pretty nice. Hope this helps.

Then again, weddings in NY are a lot more expensive than they are anywhere else.

Andrea, I am having my wedding at Captain Bill's Bayview house next summer. I had looked at many nice places, but the Bayview House had everything I wanted. It was completly remodeled. It is like a cottage, you have the whole building for your party. They have a deck for an outside cocktail hour and my favorite part is the bridal suite. It is a loft, above that main room. Their prices are reasonable and the food was excellent ......Ask for a tasting dinner ...... Good luck! Bridget

Tanya used them for all the girls who have been asking!!

Hmmm...now I wonder if there's any chocolate in the house - LOL!

What is your date? We have booked our wedding there for next August. We literally looked at every water view site on LI and this one tops them all..I like the fact that it is brand new and immaculate. I love it. It is so simple and so elegant. I also love that it is on the marina. The food is outrageous!! Good luck..

Do you have her phone number by any chance? Thanks

Our date is July 21, 2001....a Saturday night .... I loved the place also .... They are adding a new awning soon, that will cover the entire deck ...It should be nice ...We are having @175 people, how about you? We are actually having a 6 hour reception for an additional $5.00 p.p. ... E-mail me if you want more info .....Thanks ...

We opted for Leonard's of Great Neck; you might want to look there too. It's a bit glitzier then Douglaston Manor but the per plate cost was better and the rooms fit our guest list best and having all our family and friends around was our most important consideration.

Hmmm...now I wonder if there's any chocolate in the house - LOL!

What are their prices like? Can someone give me a range? Thanks

Good luck everyone !

My fiance just got fitted for a tux for his friend's wedding and they didn't have shoes in his size (size 15!). Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anywhere that specializes in big & tall sizes?

Bayshore-Captain Bill's

We booked a Saturday night in July for $74. pp plus tax and gratuities. The rates might have gone up a bit because we booked right after the new year and we got 1999 rates. I believe that Friday or Sunday nights may be lower.

she's 9 years old

great dresses for under $80 (some $49.99) for flower girls, in lots of colors ! and they are 3 blocks from Penn station !
