BB&B rant.

BB&B rant.

Has anyone else found BB&B's return polisy ludicrous? They do such a good job with the procedure for registering and buying things off a registry, and they will accept anything that was bought off your registry without a receipt. HOWEVER, registry returns are processed as a merchandise credit, which is on a flimsy register receipt which cannot be used to purchase gift cards, or to shop online! To get an item that is not available in stores, you have to go into the store with a printout of what you want and sit down at the registry desk for them to do it for you, which takes an inordinate amount of time. THEN you still have to take the print-out to the front register to pay! LINES GALORE! And if you end up returning more than once, they can't add to the merchandise credit so you end up walking around with MULTIPLE flimsy register receipts worth hundreds of dollars! Oh, and they tried to give me $1.99 back for HAND towels that actually cost $7.99. RIDICULOUS. I would not recommend using them for anyones registry anymore.

When I renturned some of my stuff, I didn't have a problem with anything. Yea after we returned stuff we were given a large print out of a receipt, but we used it right away! lol sorry you had to deal with that!!

This is horrible! I hope I don't run into those problems. I thought they were supposed to have a good return policy.

I agree with you I was a little pissed myself and THEN when I went in to order something from online they made me pay shipping too!!!

I dont like the receipt thing I feel like I might throw it away thinking its nothing when really its $300 !!

Thats crap! Why can't you use the credit online?!?! I hate going to the stores and dealing with people. I've done my registries online so far (macy's & Crate & Barrel)

there is a little unknown fact, that you can return your BBB registry items for cash. The register person will not do it, but If you ask to speak to a manager, they should. I have done it a few times to the BBB in Lake Grove.

It's not even an unknow fact... it's a fact.
I return over $600 worth of stuff after my Eparty and was given cash, I didn't even ask for it.

Recently I had an item go on clearance that someone had purchased for me, I went into BBB and got $13 in my pocket!

Sorry you had such a bad expeience.

I've heard so many people say that they get cash when returning items. So sorry you had a bad experience. I don't understand why they can't put it on a card...I would hate to being walking around with a paper receipt worth $300!!!

Re: BB&B rant.

I have not had a probelm returning. I got cash back in Westbury for returns off the registry for what they paid and then in Stony Brook they gave me a credit for full price for all items and didnt look up the registry info and i had no receipts.

you should go to another location.

Anyone else have random items pop up on your BB&B registry?

My bridal shower is tomorrow and over the last several days a number of items that I didn't ask for have appeared. Next to them they say requested: 1 fulfilled: 1. I never requested these things!

That Happen to me. It means someone bought you it and told BBB that they were buying it for you so it appears on your registry for easy return in case you hate it

Re: BB&B rant.

Wow, I had no idea I could get cash for my registry items. That's good to know for other brides who haven't already done all their returns! Wish I had known it sooner! Meanwhile, I absolutely believe that it could be the store I'm going to...I recently went to another one and they were much more accommodating and thorough, which just made me question my usual store. After reading your comments I'm even more sure that it's the store. Thanks, girls!
