I feel as though I'm soooo behind...I've only booked photography, RH, and DJ...I can't 'officially book' the church as they are switching pastors and the 09 calendar hasn't been generated yet..but they told me unofficially I can have the date...I can't meet with the new pastor so basically my photog had to help me choose a ceremony time (that's a whole different headache) what else should I have done by now???

Re: Be honest
I only booked my RH, phot/video, Dj and clergy...I'm working on doing the rest now. You have time, but I would say book all of your major vendors beacuse they are booking fast. Don't stress....everything will work out for the best.

Re: Be honest
The next thing to book would be video and flowers but I dont think its a rush or you have to have it done by now. It really depends on if you know who you want and what your budget is like for deposits, also how popular is the day you are getting mariied. But, you have time so dont rush, everything seems to somehow fall into place.

Re: Be honest
We only booked the RH, Photo/Video, and Limo. We looked at a few bands and we think we narrowed it down but have not booked a band thus far. Unless you are getting married January 1, 2009, you have time. And even if you are getting married early in '09, there is still plenty of time to book the rest of the vendors you need.

Re: Be honest
i dont think youre far behind at all! i would next start on florists, since many only do one wedding a day, or limos if you want an antique car. i was told by each limo place that the antique cars are booked well over a year in advance usually.

I think you are fine...I finished everything only because I am getting married in February and wanted to enjoy my summer without having to run around booking wedding stuff.

Re: Be honest
I've done pretty much the same things except we have our florist too.
We actually have 2 different churches unofficially booked right now which probably means I'm going to hell but we can't decide!
I still think you have plenty of time though. Next on my list is scheduling our engagement pics and getting the STD's out.
I haven't even started dress shopping yet bc my mom is having back surgery Tuesday so I'll be waiting for her to get better - we haven't even officially picked our bridal partyy!

Re: Be honest
I wouldn't worry about it. I booked only the RH and the photo/video. I just started looking at dresses. It all falls into place.

You're not behind...I havent even booked my RH. I just have the church so far.
Dont fret. I know plenty of people who got engaged after me and planned their weddings within 7-10 months...you'll be ok.
