Be honest: When you are invited to a shower, when do you usually buy your gift?????

I have been stalking my registries since invites were mailed and only 1 person has purchased a gift. The friend that bought the gift is a bm and lives in london so she can't come.

I must say that I have been known to put $150 in an envelope and call it a day. I write a lovely note in the card stating that the bride and groom deserve an evening out to relax and destress.

what's your style??

I bought a gift way in advance only once... and it's b/c I was in the BP. Most of the time I'll wait until a week or two before. Don't panic yet!
