I have been stalking my registries since invites were mailed and only 1 person has purchased a gift. The friend that bought the gift is a bm and lives in london so she can't come.

I must say that I have been known to put $150 in an envelope and call it a day. I write a lovely note in the card stating that the bride and groom deserve an evening out to relax and destress.

what's your style??

i order online a day or two after the invitation arrives

if i know i will be invited to the shower i will order BEFORE the invitation arrives so I can get the best pick

Im a geek and buy it as soon as the invite arrives...I like to make a basket or buy a few gifts that belong together...that being said I need to be first to tkae my pick!

It depends... Last year I had a bunch of showers over 2 month time period- so I bought all of the gifts at once (so in that case some I even bought before I got the invitation, just b/c I was in the store). Although, the last shower I went to , I bought it the night before at 8PM. The shower was the next day at 12noon

Not gonna lie...I'm usually the day before kinda girl unless it's someone realllly close to me and then I usually take a little more time to pick out something special or something good!

i used to shop like the day or two before, then realized there was only crap left over, so now i shop pretty much as soon as i get the invite. i like having a big choice of items to choose from.

is your registry at macys? bc you can see who bought what and when

It depends...I usually like to get the gift right away so that I'm not left grabbing whisks and pot holders! LOL

Hahahaha! Im with you on that! Sometimes I hold out for a good sale, like at Macys! I love to shop, so If I buy too early, I might keep buying more. Im sure you would love to have me as a guest! haha

If I know I am being invited to a shower I actully buy a gift before I get the invite if they are registered. If I do not know I usually buy a gift a few days after receiving the gift.
That's just me...I like having a big selection.

Don't worry...I'm sure you will see things flying off all at once!

maybe a week or so before.. sometimes i just put $$ in an envelope with a pretty card..

I try to buy a week or 2 before!!

A lot of people buy the week of. My shower is saturday and the registry is on fire!!!

I tend to go the day of, and it's the same for most of the people invited to my shower.

I usually give money for the wedding, but shower gifts I will by a week or so before the shower. I don't like having things sit in my apt.

For showers, parties, birthdays, iam always doing it the day before. i always wait till the last minute

When you sign in, look for the link that says 'manage your thank you notes'. there it lists who bought what and when. lol, its purpose is to help you with your thank yous later on, but I use it to snoop
