Beach Bum Customized Airbrush Tanning

I am doing Brazil Bronze next week before my shower . . .

The best advice I got was to:

wear your hair back and make sure EVERY strand is off your face/neck

wear loose clothes for afterward so the tan doesn't rub off

do your mani/pedi afterward

stand up straight so it is evenly sprayed, especially on the back of the knees.

i have done it and love it!

def exfoliate before you go. no shower after for like 6-8 hours. other than that the ppl there will let you know what to do

Also, for airbursh tanning- do you go in nekkid? In a bikini? I don't want any lines or at least minimal lines!

I think you can go in whatever you are comfortable . . .

also, I was told no lotions or deodorant that day and to leave my jewelry at home.

ETA: I am doing the palest shade (I'm olive skinned, but don't want it to look fake, just healthy and natural) . . . .

That's what I was thinking! I will definitely do that tomorrow morning, I should still be good if I go in the afternoon, right?

And airbrush is where a person sprays you right? I've done the booth before and it comes out looking streaky and weird.

I was really pale also trust me. You will bew few shades lighter after you take a shower. I usually just wear my underwear no top :) so theres no line :)

Ahhh good thinking! I will leave my e-ring and claddagh at home! I think I'm just gonna go in bikini bottoms. Hopefully I'll look all sexy and tan for this wedding on Friday! I need it- not only am I pasty white but sick on top of it! LOL!

I get airbrushed tanning done all the time in the city and the rules you have to follow are:

1) exfoliate, shave and wash hair etc before you go
2) no lotions...
3) i usually don't shower for like 10 hours after...so basically sleep with it and then take a shower in the a.m.
4) when you shower don't use soap to wash ur body with a sponge, and don't shower with really hot water, don't take extended showers, and dont rub your skin with a towel...lightly pat and air dry.

all these things will extend the length ur tan will stay on.

All true! Also the loose clothing is correct. Get your mani and pedi BEFORE not after.

I also use Queen Helene masque on my knees, elbows, feet and hands -- helps from getting too dark in those areas.

Also DO NOT get the darkest shade. Yes some will come off when you shower but it sinks into your skin so excess will wash off but you will get darker within the first 24 hours.

You can wear whatever you want or dont want. I go topless just a thong on the bottom.

ITA. I got it done there for my wedding. The girl mixed shades #1 and 2 for me b/c I went all zilla on her that if she makes me orange I WILL come down in my dress and beat her senseless

Exactly why I'm doing it this week! I figured let me do a test run before the big day!

I usually get a mixture of the 1 and 2 becuase I'm really plae. When I got the 2 I looked too tan.

I love airbrush

i did it twice..one as a trial and then for my wedding. i loved it!

when you go in, tell them what it is for, tell them how dark you want to be. i did this and they figured out a color for me. you dont want to go too dark and look unnatural.

bottoms are mandatory and top is optional. the first time i wore boyshorts but the second time i wore bikini underwear. both times i did no tops.

its a femal that sprays you and its not as awkward as you may think.
it is a little cold though lol. wear your hair up, they give you a shower cap thingy to put on. also take off all jewelry and wear loose clothes. do not get wet or sweat for 6-8 hours.

oh and shower and shave before you go. depending if you buy the moisture lock stuff...they will spray you with that..let you dry for a few seconds...then spray the color...dry...then spray one more thing....then you airdry a bit or stand in front of a fan and then you're done!

you may look very gross for those 8 hours so plan on staying home that night lol
