Beads for my gown?

I'm going to have beads sewn onto the lace on my wedding gown and the seamstress told me I have to bring them to her.

Any idea where I can get some? She told me, 'Manhattan'

I was hoping someone had an online option.

TIA!!

Re: Beads for my gown?

There's something to be said for seeing the beads in person. If you want to do that, there's several stores right around M&J Trim on 6th Avenue that have LOADS of beads and rhinestones. And, M&J Trim themselves have a lot, too.

They also sell online, but I believe there's a lot more in the store. As a bride, it's a great place to go anyway. I was there yesterday, buying ribbon for my flowergirl basket. I also went to the Store Across the Street, which is right around the corner from M&J trim, and bought GORGEOUS vintage ribbon for the bouquets. Much, much, much nicer stuff than you'll ever get from your florist, and you can pick out exactly the right shade. Then there's The Store Across The Street's parent store, Tinsel Trading, which is, appropriately enough, across the street and about three doors down. They have loads of vintage ribbons, vintage flowers, buttons, beads, trims, all sorts of stuff. A DIY-er's dream of a store.

have fun!
