i want to return some gifts i received from my shower, is it true they give cash back? do i ask for the return in the form of cash or will they just do it?

Yup, they will give you cash back. As long as you're returning a gift from your registry you'll be fine. Generally they'll ask you if you prefer cash or a store credit.

if its on your registry, tell them its a registry return and you can get cash back. they will ask if you want it in cash, store credit, or a gift card.
dont know why anyone would say something other than cash.
however, their new policy is that returned items get taken off your registry so they are no longer marked as purchased. i didnt realize, so i deleted the 2 things we returned. in the future i will probably just return it for store credit and not as a registry return because there will be things we want to buy from the store, and i wont want people to see we returned their gift. of course it depends on the item.

Yes they give you cash back. It's great. I'm still returning things from last year and they gave me cash back!

Yes they do. I went with my friend to return silverware and they gave her cash back. They are great!

They will give you cash if it was on your registry. If it was a non-registry item, they give you a store credit. Make sure you tell them you want cash if it's on your registry. They tried to give me a gift card but i wanted the $$$...hahah

They give you cash back and they will even return something that dont have a receipt for and that wasn't on the registry, as long as sell it in the store!

I just returned over $150 worth of items (curtains) I purchased by CC. I had the receipt and nothing was opened, so the return wasn't a problem....but I was sooo surprised when the cashier gave me back cash. I didn't mind....I went shopping there anyhow, but it definitely is a bonus. I registered with them a couple of weeks ago, and I had a great experience with them.

they definitely give you cash back if it's on your registry. if you have a problem, have the store clerk call the bed bath and beyond 800 number and they'll set the store straight

yup---they give you cash back as long as up to 2 years from the date of your registry!!
my wedding was in 2007---and i returned a bunch of stuff i never used back in january of THIS year and got cash back for it.
just as long as its items that were on your registry. don't let any managers or clerks at BBB tell you any different!!!!!

Was going to say exactly what these ladies said- if it's on your registry just tell them that it's a registry return- they give cash back for those.
