Beef Marinade....?????

Can I use Ranch Dressing to marinade beef????

I'm looking to do something a little different, and was thinking of experimenting with ranch dressing on beef .. but I also don't want to ruin the piece of meat that I have.

I know bleu cheese works well....DH Loves the Bleu cheese steak from Applebee's, but it's more of a dressing than a marinade

So does that mean they add the Bleu Cheese after the steak is cooked??? Or do they cook the steak with the Bleu Cheese???

Thanks!
