Beer cans..

So I went to a wedding recently at a beautiful RH. Everything was lovely for the most part, but I was shocked that they served cans of beer, and at one point they ran out of glasses at the bar. I am double checking with my RH to make sure there is no chance of that at my wedding! I guess since I am obsessed with weddings right now I noticed everything, it made me think of a million little questions I want to ask. Im sure the couple paid alot of money and if it was me that would have really bothered me.

yea, it seems like some people don't mind it. i personally don't like the way it looks, either. i'm sure if you make a request, you won't have to see cans at your wedding!

I'd flip out if my venue served beer in cans...I've never heard of that before!

a lot of them do special request...my friends husband only likes bud light and the RH only served coors so he made a special request.

I don't mind the bottles, I prefer drinking bottles than tap myself so I want to do special koozies (spelling??) but FH keeps shooting me down!

I had a similar experiance.
I went to look at TPCC for my wedding and in one of the albums they shower be there were beer cans everywhere. I asked about it and they said that you actually have to pay extra to get the cans and bottles.
WHAT!?!?
I though that was crazy but they said that it was because couples request different types of bears that they cant get on tap.

I still though it was weird but I think that some people must prefer it. Otherwise the wouldn't pay for it.

I don't mind bottles so much, we are bringing special beer that FI likes but I'd still prefer if they pour it in a glass.

im such a weirdo when i signed my contract i made them write on the contract that there will not be any beer bottles served at my wedding. all drinks will be served in a glass i just find the sight of people all dressed up in dresses and suits sucking a bottle of beer nauseating. i'd probably faint if i saw someone drinking from a can.

(i admit i know im weirdo and a drink snob i just cant help it)

I've never seen a wedding on LI with cans, but at a wedding out of state- they had a keg and plastic cups! LOL to each his own. I'm sure your RH will make sure of this.
