I am sorry but I really think that its sad that some of us have to defend our hall choices. Not all of us are having a big lavish affair. i chose my hall because I thought the rooms were intimate and I loved the view rather than having big open rooms where my small number of guests would seem even smaller. Sometimes I look at the comments that some say (not just about CH but in general) and I wonder if they remember that other people made differnt picks and feelings amy get hurt but some of the comments........my advice is if it aint nice.....FM.....but only do that if you care about your fellow LI wedding 'friends' and dont mind hurting feelings.

I'm sorry that others' comments have hurt your feelings. I think that people get all wrapped up in what they are saying sometimes and don't realize that they might be hurting someone's feelings. Try to ignore the negative comments. You chose your vendors or hall for a reason and the fact that you and FH are happy with your decision is all that matters.

Im so sorry you feel thay way, I've posted a trillion ?'s about halls and took a lot of opinions, but would hate to hear anything negative about my choice(when I make one) I make comments like the rooms I looked at are too small or decor not what we had in mind, but I never mean to say anything about ANYONE else's choice, thats wrong, everyone is different. I hope I never contributed to how you feel...and bottom line is...ITS YOUR WEDDING...who cares what anyone thinks....just keep saying that!

Don't let it get to you. Everyone has different opinions. When someone asks for info about a hall (or any vendor for that matter), you're bound to get people who have something negative to say. I heard negative things about Flowerfield on the knot (someone called it 'gaudy'), and the salon where I bought my dress has been flamed on here recently. I just let it roll.
Trust your judgement, you know what is right for you.

I feel the same way sometimes about defending my hall... its not one of those $100+ halls, that others pick, so i sometimes feel like i need to justify why i picked it.. i love my hall though

there are pros and cons to every location, there is no 'perfect place'. i never feel the need to defend because people's tastes are so different! i don't mind hearing 'the negative' because it may trigger something in my mind that i have yet to consider. if i do know about it then i have already deemed it as a lower priority than other things...JMO.

Hey!!
I feel your pain.
I LOVED Coral House, but I almost had a nervous breakdown before my wedding - due the comments on this site. I really wanted to change halls.
Not to worry your wedding will be beautiful!!! I am still receiving compliments on mine.

I understand how you feel someone on here said negative things about my hall too and I told her that I hope when she chooses a hall that people bash it too so she knows how it feels. It hurts because all you want to have is a BEAUTIFUL day.. its your day and try not to let anyone ruin it for you.

We are all individuals.....and choose our halls accordingly. Thank God---b/c if everyone felt the same, had the same preferences and tastes, then it would be a hell of a boring world!!
If someone is actually bashing other halls, then they are petty, superficial and immature.
To be honest, that is FH hasn't been posting on her much lately. He can't stand when people act like 'catty b*tches'.

I agree with Sept2004 Everyone chooses their place according to their taste/style and budget... I thought some of the criticism was helpful in my search for a place and things that may bug someone, may not bother someone else...

we choose the hall & receiption place as it has a baeutiful interior AND Fit my very tight budget.
fellow brides halls for more lavish weddings are nice, but i dont have that kind of $$$
what matters most to my FH & I is our love and being able to enjoy our wedding day with family & friends.
I say - enjoy YOUR day - where it may be.

we all have different opinions, reasons and experiences. thats why we are here. We learn from each other. We are also intitled to those differences. If someone bashes my hall its their opinion and doesnt change my reasons for making the choices I made. We cant all feel the same about everything. Your day will be great cause its your day.

i can totaly relate - people can be rude without meaning to, or maybe they do mean to,,,i'm not sure...the one thing to remember is that you guys will have a wonderful day - and not to let others let you get down!!
