Being a part of bridal shower planning?

Are any of you ladies a part of your bridal shower planning or are you totally in the dark?

I am more than grateful my girls are taking the intiative to plan my bridal shower, more than words can express because I know some less fortunate brides may not be soo lucky

But with that said everytime I try to explain something I like or don't like I keep getting the shaft or told to 'be quiet because you input is not needed, just worry about what your're going to wear'....

Not for nothing I don't wan't to seem like a brat but shouldn't I have some say?

Just wondering how you ladies feel about this...

i understand what you mean its hard you have this vision in your head......and your BP mom and whoever else have another......just remember that they are really excited to plan this for you, and want to make it special and show you how much they love you......take it with a grain of salt.....give your input when asked and just try to go with it......the bride cant control it all....even though we wish we could!

I had created a Publisher file with all of my ideas for the shower a few months ago...so before anyone could even start planning I already had my ideas out there. I said, these are some ideas...obviously you dont have to include everything...they are just things that I would def. like. And I had one request on the 'DO NOT DO' list. No bridal bingo!!!!!!!!! I still have no idea what they are planning, but yet...my MOH knows what I want and don't want.

They're doing everything and just asking for feedback or particulars..

just giving them a list of who should be invited.. otherwise i want to be totally surprised!

haha i dont like surprises, so im sure ill know most everything beforehand--besides i live with one moh (my sister), and fh lives with the other (his sister), so surprises would be hard anyways

and i may be a taddd bit controlling

I told my MOH some aspects I didn't want and let her take it from there. She's super organized and dedicated. And she's my cousin so shes like one of the closest people to me, she knows my style

UGH...I am having such a problem with this. I dont like being surprised...and I am a control freak! I am dying to know the details of where it is, when it is...I was told i am to know NOTHING! i did tell the girls a few things that I wanted: like a lingire line, wishing well, no pink anywhere! Things like that!

I told them where I wanted it, and now that the surprise is ruined, I know I got what I wanted. I also gave my preferences for the menu choices....other than that I'm pretty low key. I'd like a hamper instead of a wishing well like my older sister had, and I want the bow bouquet, but no toilet paper dresses and stuff like that...so I'll let them know. If I tell my sister, it will get done.
