Besides your own,Where was the Best Wedding you've ever been to!!!!!!!

For me it was at The Huntington Townhouse back in '93 it was soooooo happening and the food & teiki bars were awesome The place was the biggest at the time

Years ago, I went to one at John Anthony's that was the best wedding I have ever been to. Went there again about two years ago and it wasn't as good. The best wedding recently is probably Fox Hollow, they were in the Garden Room and it was beautiful and the food was great. They had a band that I didn't like so much, though, but that had nothing to do with the hall.

It was at Queen's Landing in Niagara on the Lake, Canada......easily a $100,000 wedding, no exaggeration!

FOODWISE...by far has to be Russo's on the Bay. There are not many halls that I know of that give you 10 choices for dinner and I picked the Shrimp Oreganata and let me tell you it was the BEST I ever had.

And, don't even let me get started with their Viennese Hour...it was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!

Now...for decor...I don't know...I can't think right now, but I will be going to a wedding in August at Flowerfield and that is one place I've been dying to see!!!!

It was up at Troutbeck last June. It was a weekend wedding and everything was beautiful. The grounds, the food, the service. It was amazing!

We went to a wedding about 5 years ago that we still talk about it was at the El Caribe! It was amazing!!!

The best wedding I ever went to was back in 91 at the Crest Hollow. It was awesome. I think alot had to do with it being my best friends wedding and me being only 21 and having a ton of friends there but I'll never forget it!!!

Decor wise I'd have to say Flowerfield. We went to an outside ceremony there and it was beautiful.

I am going to Russos next Sunday for my FBIL's wedding---I'm so excited!! WOOOHOO!! I have heard remarkable things about the food--I am soooooooooo excited!! did I mention I am excited?

anyway---decor & foodwise--Flowerfields-hands down---went to two weddings there & it was BEAUTIFUL---

a close second as far as food is concerned (just not my decor @ all) is the Sandcastle. Tons of food & it was amazing--service was out of the this world as well!

It was a wedding we went to a couple of years ago in DC. The bride and groom had met while clerking for federal judges in Washington, and planned to have the ceremony and reception in the historic building/courthouse where they met. But then, two weeks before the wedding, massive protests were planned and the wedding site was going to be right in the middle of the protests!!

Amazingly, they found an incredible location. There's this great, very upscale, organic food restaurant in DC called Restaurant Nora. They have a small upstairs room where they held the ceremony (performed by the two judges they had clerked for, of course!), and we had the restaurant to ourselves for the best lunch I've ever had. Delicious wine, Kobe-type beef (but more organic, can't remember the details). It was a very small gathering - around 40 people - no loud music, band, dj - so we were able to talk with our friends without any difficulty. I didn't (and still don't) even really know the bride and groom (he's FI's friend), but it was still the best wedding I've ever attended. And I loved that it was in the afternoon, so we were able to enjoy the evening in DC afterward.

My cousin's reception at the Carlyle (Eisenhower park) was unreal! Everything was amazing, food, service, the hall itself. Over the top!!
The most fun I had was at someone's back yard wedding. I think because it was more casual, people let loose, we had a blast!

Oheka, it was insane! When you arrived there was a itinerary for all guests. Each room had a theme. One room had a wine tasting theme, the library had belly dancers and candles all over, another room was just for raw bar and under the sea-and that was just cocktail hour. I can't even tell you the flowers and decor wer unbelievable. If I had that kind of $$$$ I would definatly knock-off that idea. The funny part about it is that the Bride and Groom are both humble people. It was the parents of the Bride who were flashy....

The church was at St. Patricks Cathedral which was incredible to go to a wedding too... and the reception was at the New York Palace Hotel (food by the Four Seasons restaurant). It was the nicest most upscale wedding I had ever gone to. The food was incredible and we had an awesome time, because the DJ was great and we made friends with the bartender who made us his own special creations. It was so different and unique from the usual LI catering hall weddings.

For food, I would say Russo's on the Bay!
But overall, the best wedding I ever went to was a home wedding. They had tents set up and had the ceremony and reception right in their backyard. It poured and we even had a great time! For some reason, it was just the most comfortable wedding I've ever been to. At one point, everyone moved into the street and were dancing around the cars and holding up traffic!
