Best Food out there?

I am in the beginning stages of planning my wedding. While a great reception hall is important to me, I really want the food to be the highlight. Most halls have a reputation for less than terrific food, I would like amazing food. Any ideas? Any place to stay away from? Please help me!

Re: Best Food out there?

We are having our wedding reception at Villa Lombardi's. The reason we booked there is that we have heard from so many people that have been to weddings all over LI that Villa Lombardi's has the best food of LI catering Facilities. Russo's on the Bay is known to really blow away all the halls when it comes to food.

Re: Best Food out there?

I agree...Villa Lombardi's food is AMAZING~not just b/c thats where I am getting married. FH and I went there for a wedding when we were dating 2 months and in the car on the way home I said 'I want to get married here!' He agrees, and coming from a big Brooklyn Italian family -- food is everything!!

Re: Best Food out there?

jericho terrace (we are partial since we booked there!) - the funny thing is we've still never had a thing from there but everyone we told we booked there told us the food was great (even before oh thats nice, etc!)....

word of advice i got though - ask a photographer or dj for their advice - they can tell b/c they go all over - a dj told us that (ironically when he told us howe good the food at jt is!) but it makes sense!!

Atlantica in westhampton beach! Awesome food and unique selections (not your standard chicken, fish, steak options...you can get roast duck, seafood boulaibase, etc as well as the traditional)

Re: Best Food out there?

I think lovin oven is hands down the best...while other halls food is good...it is almost factory style...with lovin oven the food seems like the chef made it for you specifically

Re: Best Food out there?

None of us can really compare since we haven't tried all the catering halls. I have to add the Carlyle to the list since I've eaten there and what I can compare to is upscale restaurants. If I had gone to a $30+ an entree place and been served what I ate, I would have been pleased.
