Best gift you received?

Best gift you received?

So on another thread someone posted a great garlic chopper from BBB that I added on my registry. It made me think that there are probably a bunch of those great gifts that I'm missing. I did a search but couldn't find a thread.

Can you share the best gift you received???
Thanks so much ladies

its not a gift that you normally would get in the stores and such--it was the best gift to me cause it was sweet

my sister's mom (same dad diff mom) got DH and i a really nice throw blanket for our couch. its pretty big and it says 'Marriage is not about counting the years but making the years count'

Its nice and soft and comfy--and i wrap it around myself in the winter. definitely my fav gift.

my everyday dishes. love them!

the best gift we got that has an emotional value- was towels from my cousin who came from Finland. She bought ivory towels and sewed on fancy fabric on the edges, the fabric was from my late grandma's vast sewing collection. it was sooooo sweet when she told me she made it from that, it really touched me. and now I'll never be able to use those towels!!

Most useful:

-everyday dishes (fiestaware is STURDY and so pretty)
-henkel knives
-all clad cookware

Thats stuff we use every day. Best gift hmm...

Probably the little lbum my mom agve us-its one of those books that you fill out all the important wedding info in like MOH, BM's, the proposal story etc and ends at the marriage. Its just a thoughtful gift.

Another good one that you don't always think of is a garment steamer. This is wonderful for silks and blazers.

awww thanks.....yea they are so pretty.....the fabric kind of reminds me of a doile (sp?) but nicer......it really meant something b/c I had no clue they still had her sewing material since she passed away 4 yrs before our wedding!! it was so touching!

some other ideas for your registry:

a roomba- I registered for it and didn't get it, but I've heard good things from a friend who has it

a mini prep food processor- I love mine, it's the perfect size for chopping onions

$400 cash.. hahah...Im sure thats not the answer you were looking for. After the cash I would say the best gift I got was a meat tenderizer..weird..i know..but came in very handy

One of the most creative presents that I received at my shower was a cooler with wheels filled with fun tailgating stuff, two fold up chairs, two yankee t-shirts, and yankee tickets. My DH and I both enjoyed and we use the coolor and chairs all the time.

I personally love all of the fluffy bedding that our family and bridesmaids got us!

And our crockpot has also gotten a lot of use.

Hands down it was one of my invitations professionally framed in a GORGOEOUS ornate frame, with dried flowers surrounding it (apparently grown in the womans garden that made the frame invite). It was stunning. I wish I had a pic of it.

Such a BEAUTIFUL, thoughtful, and memorable gift.
