Ok, so with less than three weeks till my wedding, the best man (FH's brother) just dropped out. He just informed FH that he can't get that day off work. I just think he should have asked for that day off months ago. He also said he doesn't think anyone will switch shifts with him, so we don't know what to do. The sad part is that he sounded like he didn't even care :( We only had one best man and one groomsman, so now we are down to one groomsman.

OH MY GOD!!! his brother of all people!!! thats just crazy! your right he could have just requested the day off when you guys got the official date! ugh...sometimes i just think that people dont truely get how important a wedding is!!!! family should be there!!

That's pathetic!! I'm terribly sorry to hear that!! I can't believe it's his BROTHER TOO!!!! This guy seems irresponsible and incredibly selfish!!! Oh and not to mention a weenie too... why couldn't he tell you sooner? Why even bother to accept the position if you have no intentions of fulfilling it?
it's just even more sad and pathetic that it's FH's BROTHER!!!!! I'm disgusted! So I can't imagine how your FH feels!!!
On the flip side... at least you know that's one person you don't ever have to be there for in life!!

I would call my FMIL and see if she can call her son, who obviously doesn't know how to act right, and do a lil bit of motherly yelling because that is just ridiculous. That is his brother! Obviously there is more going on here. he doesn't want to go for some reason. Maybe he is jealous or something?

That's awful! I would quit my job before I missed my own sisters/brothers wedding! What is wrong with him???? I am so sorry... I can't imagine how your fh must feel...
