best place to look for wedding gown

I am helping my sister in law she is getting married March 7, 2010. Where should she go for wedding gowns?

i went to kleinfelds (good for selection and thats about it), macy's (wasnt crazy over the material), a bunch of small boutique stores in brooklyn and queens, and ended up at the wedding salon of manhasset where i got the best service and gown of my dreams...... it also depends on what designers shes looking at or wants

I went to RK Bridal and found the gown i wanted and ordered it from bestbridalprices.com for half the price.

RK bridal is really good in terms of prices

Kleinfelds has a great selection (but is usually pricy)

Priscilla of Boston has a beautiful selection as well (but also quite pricey)

I also really like Wedding Atelier, Designer Loft and Pronovious were my favorites in NYC-- great customer service and selection, also very accomodating and willing to work with your budget!

Pronovious store is beautiful and also alterations are included in the fee!

My first stop was Helen's in Wedding World in Commack...I had a great experience there....I worked with Liz who was wonderful...she helped me try on so many different styles of dresses....I went to two other places to try gowns (Wedding Center and Bridal Elegance) and Helen's was totally top notch.

They were even able to match the cheaper price that Wedding Center quoted me on the gown I chose.

I also went to the Wedding Salon of Manhassett and the service was excellent. I'm not to sure how many designers they carry there because I went there for a specific gown. I already knew what I wanted.

I say Valentina Bridal Salon and Lotus Bridal both in Brooklyn. They both provide wonderful service and the stores are beautiful

Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point is great! I also had a great experience at Macys (and ended up getting my dress there). Also, if she has a specific designer in mind, look into trunk shows.

I had a great experience shopping at Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point, Angel Bridals in East Islip, and Village Bridal in Babylon (where I ended up ordering my dress). Customer service was great, good selection, and very patient without the pressure to buy.

Bridal suite of huntington on 110 has nice dresses. The plus is that the women who work there are wonderful. They make you feel very comfortable, even on your crappiest days
