Best Price for a Wedding Dress...

I already posted this on the BHB board. Maybe you ladies have some suggestions too..

I'm loving a particular James Clifford dress so I went to go try it on. I love it almost as much as I did when I saw it online but it's priced higher than I would like to spend.

Where should I call to see if I can get a better price than where I tried it on? This very well could be 'THE DRESS' if the price were better.....

Is this even possible?

Different shops have different prices. Also if that shop had the dress for a trunk show they have a sale on the samples. Hope you can get your dream dress.

there actually is a trunk show at this shop until May 2nd so I feel like I have to make a decision but yet it's so early you know??

Even with the 10% off it still seems like a steep price. I'm going back wed. night to try it on for my mom and a few of my girls. In the meantime, I think i'm going to call around.

Try RK Bridal. Ive heard they have great prices. But i dont think they do alterations.

Bah to James Clifford dresses!!!! LOL. This is my same issue! If you get to RK first let me know but I don't think anyone carries his dresses. I'm gonna make one attempt to find something very similar that I love and if not, then thats it!

ugh..so annoying!!! I really love this dress but everyone I talk to is telling me how i would be crazy to spend that amount of money. I'm going to call B*urtons and RK to see if they have it for cheaper. Someone on the BHB board also suggested calling out of state to see if they have it cheaper. I would have never thought to do that! Maybe try that?

I would definitely call around to as many bridal shops as possible and see who has the best price.

Also find out if you purchase the dress do they offer any discounts and is the discount greater if you also order BM dresses, MOB and MOG dresses etc through them.

they do alteration and they cap the alteration price to 350 or less but that place is mad house.

If you do go make sure its a week DAY!!!

I fell in love with a JC dress, unfortuantely the only store in NY that carried his line was Bridal Relections.. so we went to Jersey and called a bunch of stores and some of them gave us great prices on the phone that were a lot CHEAPER!!! and less tax.. but you have to pay tolls and drive there so Im not sure if you'd want to do it and have it altered closer to home. The savings are def more than the cost of tolls and gas so I think its worth it, plus I couldn't deal with the bad service that BR provided and would have paid more

I ended up finding another dress that I LOVE LOVE LOVE so I didn't end up ordering in Jersey but FM me and I will tell you which stores I called.
