Beyond frustrated!

We were engaged 9/30/12 and booked our venue 11/9/12 and our wedding is on 9/2/13. My fiance is the exact same way. But the sooner you start to book things the easier and less stressful it is.

Beyond frustrated!

We booked our venue about 3 weeks aftr we got engaged because we had a specific venue we wanted and we never looked anywhere else. We booked everything else from about May to August. I didnt have any problem with any vendors I wanted being booked however my limo company already had 3 weddings booked for the same day. We still were able to get the limo we wanted though. I would do one thing at a time. I would definitely book the venue first then the other stuff you can relax a bit more.

We booked everything about 2 years out because I'm paranoid like that.

Same! We have everything booked except for our invitation vendor!

Don't worry everything will work out! My fiancé and I just started looking we've been engaged for almost a yr (been engaged since May 2012)! However, we want a January 2015 wedding so technically were ahead of the game though we're taking our sweet time... It all depends on the time frame you and your FH set out for yourselves. I am sure it'll be fine though I heard Crest Hollow is very accommodating if you’re still interested in them!

Yeah..Crest Hollow was the cheapest by far for Summer so I hope that extends to July-Sept and we can get an even better deal for a Friday/Saturday night

I got engaged in June 2011. We started looking right around the Holidays in December, although prior to that I did start doing my research and calling for prices and availability.
You have to decide on a timeframe first though and don't get annoyed it'll all work out the way it's supposed to.
If FH isn't in a rush don't push him, it's not worth it and time flies, enjoy being engaged.
We booked for April 2013 in January 2012.
You can show FH this... these places book up fast!
Don't jump if you aren't sure but if you are 95% sure most places will give you a hold for at least 24 hours if not sometimes a week!
Take your time and enjoy.

FH and I got engaged in June 2011 and we booked over venue the end of July 2011 for our Oct 2013 wedding! I wasn't playin'! lol I wanted to know ASAP what we were spending so I got on it early. I then had photo and video booked in late August/early September because that was our next most important and expensive vendor. After that we did things little by little.

My advice is get your venue booked ASAP. You want to make sure you get a date/time that you want. As you can see, lots of ladies book 2 years in advance. But you also have brides who plan a wedding in 6 months! So don't be overwhelmed. Just take it step by step. Concentrate on the venue then move to the next most important to you such as photo or DJ. Do your research and if there are any vendors who you know you want or are really interested in book an appt! Good luck and happy planning
