I breast fed my son for 5 months. I got AF in the 5th month as I was weaning him off. I always had a very regular AF (26-28 days). Does it go back to being normal right away or can it be irregular for a while? thanks!
I can't answer you....but just wanted to tell you beware of how fertile you will be! I also got my period back when Angela was 5 months, I wasn't even weaning her, it just came back. Before I knew what hit me I was pregnant again, so I never even got my period a second time....I did hear though that it takes about 3 months for it to get regular again.
First off congratulations! Iam 2 days late and a little scared. not that we wouldn't be thrilled but we planned on waiting a few years before the next!
My son weaned himself at 13 months. AF wasnt normal right away... It was pretty close though. I started getting AF while I was still BFing.
jennjohn.....I took a test when I was like 2 days late and it was negative, so I chalked it up to my period just not being regular yet (but I had a feeling I was pregnant). About 10 days later I still had not had my period and I did another test and it was positive! Let me know what happens!
jpsgirl, i am going to get a test tomorrow. i ll let you know! i cant believe i am going to take a test again!
Mine was regular right away, but then again I got my period right away too even though I was BF exclusively.

well i took a test last night and i came up negative. its weird but we where both a little disappointed! today i feel tired and 'off' but still no sign of AF. So do you think i should do a test again in a few days or am i being paranoid.
Well, my first one when i wasn't really that late was negative, and then 10 days later it was positive. Have you been using protection?
