I was just writing out a list of our bridal party. I really want to have jr. brides maids, six of my dance students who I love so much, and who I plan on inviting anyway and who I am sure will make the trip to New York. But this would make our bridal party huge! 24 people include the 4 flower girls, 2 ring bears, 7 bridesmais, and 6 groomsmen.
Is that too big? My cousin who got married this past weekend had about the same amount.
WHat would be the minuses the pluses to a big bridal party? I haven't told the FH yet who will go nuts when hears how big!!

8- bridesmaids (includes moh)
8- Groomsmen (includes Best man)
2- Junior ushers
1- Ring bearer

thats 21 not so much different from yours. the minuses will be getting all the girls to agree on the same dress not looking forward to that lol. but i think a big bridal party is great it looks great in the pictures and i think its fun.

i would consider it a blessing to have that many people you consider special enough to be up there with you... who cares how big the bridal party is ya know?
if you love all of them and want all of them there with you, then go for it!

Just got off the phone with FH and he was like that sounds cool aslong as it doesn't look weird since he is stuck only 6 grooms men!!
I'm excited! My jr brides maids will be so excited!! I will ask them at Nationals in three weeks one night when we all go to dinner! They will love it!!

I dunno I think its a cute idea...but the way i think of my bridal party is....in 15 years when i look at my pictures am I still going to know these people and still talk to them...mine is going to be mostly family and friends ive known for over 10 years...I'm just crazy but my mom looks at hers and wishes certain people hadnt been in it cause they dont talk anymore...

i am having 1 moh 2 bm and 1bm, 2 gm and 1 flower grl and one ring bearer. Nothing big.... Have fun will all you bridal party. that must be fun to have all those ppl. I wish i could have more.

Thats a good point Meg. My Jr bridesmaids are my students many of them I have know since they were little. They mean a lot to me, I think that it will be great.

THUS FAR FH and I have 7 Brides maids 7 Grooms men 2 Unity candle guys (my nephews) 3 flower girls 1 ring boy = 20 thus far

I'm at 6bm ( including 1moh and 1matron of honor) 1 flowergirl and 1 ring bearer too of course!! my FH doesnt have many close friends he'd like in the wedding party.. which is why im at 6... there are 2 more girls id love to include but he only wants 3-4 guys including best man.. how can i work that out walking down the aisle??? I don't mind having the best man recess with both MOH but i don't know about doubling up to process.. what do you all think??

I have 22 in my bridal party...I think the important thing is to have the people closest to you and who mean the most to you in your bridal party, no matter how big or small that makes it

you can have 2 girls walk with one guy... the guy is in the middle and the two girls on either side of him.. it looks really classy.

I have a junior bm but had no intentions of a FG or a ring bearer. FH decided to go ahead and ask his best friend if he could have his son as the ring bearer--I was so mad. I didn;t want one. Now BOTH father and son are in the wedding, I have no flower girl to go with him and I dont know what to do....
Also, I think his wife is going to feel left out. I didnt ask her to be a BM. I dont know her like that ya know?

Just tell your FH and his friend that you'd rather not have a FG or RB. It is your wedding afterall!! I dont have any younguns that could be FG and RB for my wedding and honestly, while they are cute... They really serve very lil purpose... I mean the RB walks down the aisle with fake rings... whats the point?!?!? LOL And dont feel pressured to put her in the bridal party also... Everything is yours and FH choices... He shoulda asked you first before telling his friend that....
