I was just writing out a list of our bridal party. I really want to have jr. brides maids, six of my dance students who I love so much, and who I plan on inviting anyway and who I am sure will make the trip to New York. But this would make our bridal party huge! 24 people include the 4 flower girls, 2 ring bears, 7 bridesmais, and 6 groomsmen.
Is that too big? My cousin who got married this past weekend had about the same amount.
WHat would be the minuses the pluses to a big bridal party? I haven't told the FH yet who will go nuts when hears how big!!

Actually I was wondering if any of you guys had some input...
I have a junior bm but had no intentions of a FG or a ring bearer. FH decided to go ahead and ask his best friend if he could have his son as the ring bearer--I was so mad. I didn;t want one. Now BOTH father and son are in the wedding, I have no flower girl to go with him and I dont know what to do....
Also, I think his wife is going to feel left out. I didnt ask her to be a BM. I dont know her like that ya know?
Just tell your FH and his friend that you'd rather not have a FG or RB. It is your wedding afterall!! I dont have any younguns that could be FG and RB for my wedding and honestly, while they are cute... They really serve very lil purpose... I mean the RB walks down the aisle with fake rings... whats the point?!?!? LOL And dont feel pressured to put her in the bridal party also... Everything is yours and FH choices... He shoulda asked you first before telling his friend that....
Do what u and FH want...if u do not want a flower girl u dont want have to have one....there is no rule that says when u have a ring boy u have to have a FG...so just have the ring boy. And u do not have to put the wife in ur BP cause u do not know her they will see eachother after the ceremony. Do not cater to anyone....just make it how u want it= less stress

Definitly,,,, talk to FH about it..... Did he know you didn't want a ring boy or FG? Don't feel bad about not invloving the wife... if your not close with the girl then you shouldnt feel guilty about not having her be a part of the wedding... And if does end up that FH really wants to have the RB... dont stress about not having a FG, you can have one without the other.... You can do whatever you want it's your day!

Ya know someone told me this the other day...its YOUR day not the FG or RB's day. sometimes they upstage the bride. And SURE I might sound pretentious, but its a good point

I was wondering you if you ladies could help me out..........................
My FH has a son who will be 9 years old when we get married. We want to include him in our wedding but feel he is too young to be a GM and too old to be a RB. Any suggestions?
