BIG CHECK..Now what?

So over the weekend we booked the DJ! We went with After Hours, We really clicked with Phil the owner and seems like so much fun!

I am pretty much ahead of the game, but all my big vendors are done. Venue, Photo & DJ. Can I relax for a little or is there another type of vendor we should be looking to book? Were March of 17' so we are really early..Fiance wants to be done for a while, I just don't know if thats possible for me. Hehe, I am having so much fun planning!

My fiance was all about booking fast. We were engaged the end of December and had all our vendors by February. It's completely up to you. The benefits of booking now are that you can usually get this year's prices. Almost everything goes up from year-to-year.

I say do your research, spend the time going to several vendors and shop around. Then, when you know you found someone good, book them!

Congrats on the huge check! Slowing down is entirely up to you. If you're in 2017 you def dont have to rush. The good thing about booking early is you can do the research, get early quotes and have time to pay everything off. I would say don't go too crazy so the Future hubby doesn't go too crazy lol. im a 2017 bride too and i have all my vendors picked except for flowers...none booked yet but thats because i havent booked a venue - that has been my struggle... once i have my venue and a definite date i can book all my vendors in the same week - i cant wait until i have them all booked because then i can enjoy engaged life and saving! lol - congrats on your early checks

Take it easy for a while. It was hard for me to stop booking things but I've been a good girl since December and haven't booked anything since lol. We're having an almost 3 year engagement and it is hard to stop myself from booking too much too fast. But we have our major vendors done (venue, photo, video, DJ, and flowers) and now I'm on the hunt for my dress. This summer will be limos then all the little stuff and millions of 'DIY' stuff I think I'll be able to do lol

Your super ahead of me. I only have my venue and photo/video. I have been looking around a different venders but I havent booked anything since. My problem is that I dont want to book something, then see something else and regret my decision. My fiance is say the same thing as yours to wait a little while and so far I have been pretty good.
