We're making our final decision regarding what venue we are going to book and it is tormenting us because we LOVE both places! and both places offer excellent food, decor, and prices..at this point it's just a matter of us deciding which venue we want. Please help us decide...Thanks a million!

I can only tell you having already been a CLM bride that it is truly AMAZING....we had our wedding is August - & when we received Christmas cards - people were writing about the wedding, the food, the atmosphere...just that it was the best weddding ever. Now ffw again to Easter & I see some of my family & friends then & they are STILL talking about HOW GOOD the food was & just what an amazing time they had at the wedding - what a beautiful place it was & how nice it was on the water & how our boat entrance into cocktail hour was the most unique thing they have ever seen!

I vote for Chateau Briand because that is what I chose. However, Chateau La mer is very popular and gets awesome reviews on here.

We are getting married at CB 5/5/11!! FSIL is getting married at CLM.
We loved the decor at CB so much, but FH went to CLM for his sister's food tasting and according to him the food is better at CLM.
Both places are so different in their style so I think you just really have to decide what sort of atmosphere you want!

I feel like there are several main differences between the two.
Chateau La Mer has ony 2 parties at a time staggered.
Chateau Briand has more then 2 parties at a time not staggered
Chateau La Mer doesn't have a evently shaped room with the bar all the way in the back corner.
Chateau Briand has evenly shaped rooms.

Hi - Actually Chateau Briand does stagger their parties. Im going to book there this week and i found out the other times and they are nowhere near each other.

I have only been to Chateau Le Mer and that was at TWOTY. The place is beautiful and the food ....omg amazing!!! Just on that I would pick Le Mer!!

Obviously a little biased here - but I picked CLM. but honestly - it all depends on what you are looking for. do you want something on the water, or does that nor matter to you? I would go with whichever place gives you more. Food @ CLM is great, and Nick has been great to work with so far. As of now I only have great things to say about the place. But - make sure whichever RH you choose, it has everything you want. Like someone else said, will you be upstairs @ CLM or downtairs? do you need something thats handicapped acessible? (upstairs @ CLM isn't) and the downstairs room at CLM is a little odd shaped, so if you are all for symmetry etc, that might not be for you.

I went with CB because I fell in love with the cocktail room and the outside South Beach area. The room was huge and they gave me a low minimum and an amazing price per person....My FSIL got married at CLM so it really wasn't an option for us, but she had a beautiful wedding on the water.

Did you go to the bridal showcase at both bc that usually helps you to make a decision!
I went to see the places, discuss prices and for food tastings to both places and even though the food in chateau briand really good, I like the food from chateau la mer better

love both I of coarse love chateau briand a little more,lol i wish i could getnmarried outside were having our ch outside very south beachy, were are getting marrried at church, chateau la mer is great too love the water and plam trees. how many guests are you having? if it at chateau la mer would you use the big room downstairs i love that room. if i choose to have it there i would had room upstairs bc i only had 130 people whic is not handicapp accesibble for my cousin and not easy to acces for older guests. just to keep in min :)

I'm having approximately 130-150 people, most likely if I choose CLM I'll have to use the room upstairs which I dont mind at all because they're making it even better (they're making their ceilings higher like a V shape with 3 candeliers and they're also changing the floors. With the amount of people I have, I can choose any of these 2 places.
Yes, CB has a gorgeous outside! it feels as if u were in south beach, I totally agree with u!
As soon as we decide which venue too book, I'll def let u girls know
