Has anybody used them and had any feedback? Where are they located?

I used them for my wedding in Oct and they were great! My MC was Wayne and the DJ was Patrick (I think -- the mind goes after you get married). The owner's name is Gerry and is located in East Meadow. He has an office at his house. I definitey recommend them. The website is www.1800bighits.com

I saw them 'perform' at the Floral Terrace Bridal show on Monday and they were great. Gerry is really nice.

very nice to work with. He asks you what songs you want to hear and don't want to hear and if you can't make up your mind as to what song or version of a song (as in my case, or I should say my hubby's case), he'll play both versions for you until you pick!!!

I'm definately going to go meet with him soon. They were really great at the bridal show. My grandma and FMIL loved him!! I'm glad to hear that you had a good experience with him :)

We used them for our 7/6/01 wedding and were VERY pleased. At that time I couldn't find anyone around here who had used them and we just went on our gut instinct. Gerry is great! He really does take the time to help you pick the music you want and seems to have EVERYTHING. My husband's mother picked a not-well-known Carly Simon song to dance the mother/son dance to. Other DJ's said they would try to get the song. As soon as we mentioned the song to Gerry, he walked over to his 'wall of music', pulled a CD off shelf, popped it into the CD player and the song started playing.

For our wedding last July, he started at $1195 for a DJ and MC for the reception. Cocktail hour music was about $100 more and there were also light packages starting at $100. If you wanted giveaways, he had a catalog you picked from and he charged you whatever it cost him for the items you picked(usually the same or cheaper than getting it yourself from the Oriental Trading catalog--I priced it)

They DJ'd my brother's wedding in '99 and have done 2 work functions for me since then - Dec 2000 and Dec 2001.
We had Jeff DJ each time & Gerry even MC'd one.
They are doing our wedding this July.
We thought they were great!
The price sounds about right.

Hey I was wondering if you went to talk to Starlight Express DJs when you got married. If you did, why didn't you pick them? I saw them both at the Floral Terrace Bridal show and liked them both. Thanks!
